River Street to be busier due to water ferry and Riverboat transportation being utilized. Schools will travel in groups especially during the Junior portion of the event. The Seniors have more flexibility to move to and from the Savannah Convention Center and their hotel without direct supervision.
Local Impact Dining establishments, shops and activities will be heavily utilized. This group has NO planned meals. Everyone is on their own. Lunch time may be a challenge. Grab and Go options on River Street should do well. Events are early and late at night. Schools will be in an unfamiliar locale and may need assistance or direction at times getting around.
