Directors AMA Charter 3233 Coordinators Ray & Elma Taylor Ted & Terri Beers Phone: (607) 563-2083 Phone: (607) 988-0081 Volume 29, No 8 Online at: www.ray-taylor.com/hhr/ AUGUST 2014 JULY BREAKFAST We had 49 for breakfast this morning with Kelli Jo Sheldon, Dick Smith, and Dick Williams as guests. Welcome. Our birthday winner this morning was Willie Grosslinger, with Patrick Thomson the 50/50 winner. Our scratch-off winners were Bob Wood, George Frankel, Mary Walker, Dave Davidson, Gayle Heller, Fred Enck, Fred Brotschul and Joanne Bennett. We are looking for someone to step up and do the poker run for next year. The date can be either the second Sunday in July or the second Sunday in August. If you are interested please let Ted or Ray or Dave Davidson know. If no one wants to do it, this will be our last year. We also need volunteers for the weekly ride that is normally done on Wednesday s but can be another day of the week. If you have a place in mind but don t want to lead it, you can let Ray and Elma know and they will lead it. Try doing it once, you might decide you like it. Soon our riding season will be over and then you will have all winter to think about places to go the next year. Until next month, Terri Let s Meet for Lunch What a beautiful day to ride, eat, meet with friends and just enjoy each other s company. There were 18 of us at Cream of the Crop in Bainbridge. If you haven t tried this place, check it out. The 50/50 was won by Bob Wood, no surprise there. He told Ted before he drew the winning ticket, to just give the money to him as he was going to win anyways. Well, he certainly called it. Next month, August 2, will be at Little Red Schoolhouse in Downsville. That is also a great place and a nice ride weather permitting. Until then, Terri Marcy Barr Memorial Ride Call it an Ice Cream Run with a purpose. Many of you will remember Marcy Barr as a warm, tender, caring and fun loving soul. Come celebrate her life, as she would have done for us, with ice cream. Date August 24 Destination: An Ice Cream shop in WIndham. Time to be announced via email and at the Poker Run. Les and I hope you can join us. Dave 1

Overnighter July 2014 Well, after all the planning the trip is over- much too soon. We had 13 vehicles and 21 people start out on the trip. Rudy Kolinger left us early for health reasons, which we were sorry about. Hopefully he is doing better now. We saw the Kinzua Sky Walk, the Kinzua Dam, the World War II museum, very interesting. Also the Zippo/Case museum, went to the School House Craft & Café- they fixed us a very good lunch, and we ended the trip with dinner at Spragues near Portville. School House Craft & Café Of course to make it an official Retread trip we did a few u-turns. Can t have a trip without that. On our free time, some did some swimming, and a lot of visiting. It was a great group to work with, thank you so much for going with us. Thank you, Joan & Roger Miller for working with us in the planning, and riding of the trip. You were very good tail gunners. Also Joan did a lot of the phone calling to set up our luncheon, and the World War II museum. Ray & Elma World War II museum the Zippo/Case museum 3 Group Photo at Spragues
