Among them, those of some of the first climbers of the Matterhorn from July. The Grave of the Unknown Climber honours the more than 00 missing and dead, who have lost their lives on the Matterhorn since. What is called the Walk of Fame in Hollywood is called the Walk of Climb in Zermatt. On the Bahnhofstrasse near the church, nine bronze markers honour the alpinists, who conquered the Matterhorn in July. Memorial markers in the English Church bear witness to the long relationship of British mountaineers to the Zermatt mountain world. And they also show the friendship and triumph as well as death and sadness. The Reverend Charles Hudson, who fell to his death after the summit of the Matterhorn was first reached on July, is entombed in the altar. The chapel in Findeln is home to a late Gothic winged altar from the early th century. The church at Randa is registered in the Swiss inventory of cultural treasures of regional importance because of its baroque style (KGS inventory). The redesigned Lorihiischi is the village museum in Randa with impressions of the domestic and living culture of the people of the Valais.
