Regitration Information 1. All regitration for the 49th National Convention will be ONLINE. Individual oror will be able to preregiter anyplace and anytime on any Web connection through a fully ecured online ytem. Our National Webite addre i www.deltaigmatheta.org. 2. Regitration will open on April 1, 2008, 9:00 AM, EST for All Delegate (Soror that are not Voting Delegate will not be able to regiter before thi date.) Regitration will cloe May 10, 2008, 12:00 Midnight, EST. 3. Soror mut be financial for the fical year 2008-2009, July 1, 2008 June 30, 2009, through a local chapter or a a memberat-large, in order to regiter and attend the National Convention. Due for fical year 2008-2009 are due and payable January 1 March 31, 2008. A a quality control meaure, the National Headquarter taff will verify the financial tatu of regitrant before the convention packet i mailed. 4. Soror will need the following information to acce the ecured webite: Name (a it appear on your memberhip card) and Memberhip Number. 5. Once you have gained acce you will need to enter the information provided on the Checklit. 6. PAYMENT Soror may pay their regitration by credit card, via our ecured Weberver online, cahier check (no peronal check), money order, or wire tranfer. a. Credit Card Payment: Soror paying by credit card, pleae do not click the ubmit button more than once. If you encounter an error, print the error page and contact the National Headquarter Help Dek, at the number indicated on page 7. Soror paying by credit card will receive a confirmation number. Thi confirmation number will allow you to make houing reervation. b. Cahier Check and Money Order Payment: Soror paying by cahier check or money order will receive an acknowledgment number. Regitration continued Your payment mut be received within (10) ten buine day to hold your reervation and the ticket purchaed. Your regitration will not be proceed until the payment ha been received. 10. REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION For oror regitering with a credit card, an official confirmation will be e-mailed within five (5) to even (7) buine day of ubmiion. An e-mail addre mut be provided. For oror regitering and paying by cahier check, money order, or wire tranfer, an official confirmation will be emailed within 10-14 buine day, after receipt of your payment. The National Convention packet, which include your Regitration Confirmation Card and intruction for regitering, will be mailed to each financial member on or before June 30, 2008. The barcode on the bottom of your Regitration Confirmation Card will be canned on ite to print your badge and ticket. The Regitration Confirmation Card mut be igned by you and given to the regitrar to receive your convention material. Pleae be ure to review the content of the convention packet carefully and promptly upon receipt. Review for correct pelling of your name and chapter affiliation. If you find an error, pleae return the entire convention packet to the attention of Deborah Somerville, Interim Director of Information Sytem. Alo, end an email to conventionervice@ deltaigmatheta.org, indicating the date the convention packet wa returned and the nature of the error within the packet. A corrected convention packet will be forwarded to you, if received and corrected by July 7, 2008. Otherwie, your convention packet will be available Call to Convention 2008 for pickup at the onite regitration dek. If you are financial and have not received thi material by July 7, 2008, pleae notify the Regitrar at National Headquarter. 11. INCOMPLETE/INCORRECT REGISTRATION Incomplete/incorrect regitration will not be proceed and will be returned. 12. TRANSFER OF REGISTRATION Convention regitration tranfer will ONLY be accepted/completed/ proceed on-ite. Convention regitration may be tranferred in full from one Delta to another provided the tranferee i financial for the 2008-2009 fical year. In order to tranfer a regitration, the Delta to whom the regitration i being tranferred mut preent the Regitration Confirmation Card and a letter igned by the oror whoe fee are being ued. Thi letter mut clearly tate that the bearer ha authorization for the tranfer of the convention regitration. 13. CANCELLATION POLICY A portion of the Regitration Fee paid in advance i refundable upon the receipt of a written notification to National Headquarter. Regitration fee paid in advance are refundable le a 50% cancellation fee, if written notice i received and potmarked on or before June 30, 2008. Any refund requet received potmarked on or after July 1, 2008 will not be honored. The cot for ticket for ubcription event/pecial activitie i non- refundable. Check will be iued, approximately 120 day, after the Convention. z 14. ON-SITE REGISTRATION PROCEDURES AND FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS Pleae be advied that to inure that we have adequate material for thoe oror who pre-regiter, THE ON-SITE REGISTRATION DESK/COUNTER WILL OPEN ON FRIDAY, JULY 25, 2008, AT 10:00 AM. The Regitration dek for TRANSFERS/ADJUSTMENTS will open, THURSDAY, JULY 24, 2008, at 9:00 a.m. for non-monetary tranfer and adjutment. If you need to make tranfer or adjutment that require the payment of fee, you may do o beginning, Friday, July 25, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. The Voting and Alternate Delegate mut preent the Delegate Certification Form properly completed with ignature. Financial oror, who are not the voting and alternate delegate, and who pay the regitration fee may attend the convention a a non-voting delegate and participate in all the activitie, except voting. The confirmation card mut be preented to receive a badge holder, convention bag and other material. Annual Due/Grand Chapter due are not accepted at the convention ite. 15. May 10, 2008, the hour of operation will be 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., EST. 16. HOUSING Once you have regitered for the convention you will be able to link to the hotel bureau for houing. The hotel link for hotel reervation i at the bottom of your Confirmation or Acknowledgment letter. Houing will open April 1, 2008 for All Delegate. Houing will cloe June 19, 2008. Room have been blocked in ix hotel. Pleae refer to the hotel information for more detail. You mut be regitered for the Convention in order to ecure hotel accommodation. You will need your confirmation number or acknowledgment number in order to ecure hotel accommodation in the Delta room block. Reervation will be proceed on a firt come, firt erved bai. Your hotel and room election will be confirmed before you end the eion online. Read all the hotel information carefully. Pay particular attention to refund of depoit, change and cancellation. A depoit equal to the firt two night room and tax will be required to reerve a room. Depoit mut be made with a credit card only. One of the two night will be non-refundable; however, one night may be refundable by the hotel if the reervation i cancelled within the time pecified by the hotel. Major credit card accepted are Mater Card, Via, American Expre and Dicover. SHUTTLE TRANSPORTATION A huttle tranportation ytem will be deigned to operate only from hotel that are not within walking ditance of the convention center. TRANSPORTATION TO THE CONVENTION The deignated air carrier that have agreed to partner with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. are American Airline, Continental Airline and Midwet Airline. See page 30 for more detail. Avi, Budget, Enterprie, Hertz and National have been deignated a the official car rental companie for the 49th National Convention. (Information included.) 21. MOTORIZED SCOOTERS AND WHEELCHAIRS ScootAround, Inc. i providing cooter and wheelchair rental for the convention. A toll number i provided for your convenience in placing order. ScootAround will take advance order and will provide confirmation via mail, fax or email. Soror availing themelve of thi rental ervice will be olely reponible for the cooter and wheelchair. An individual contract will be required with ScootAround. Payment for rental are to be made directly to ScootAround. The rental will be available for pickup on Friday, July 25, 2008 and mut be returned Wedneday, July 31, 2008 (See page 31). 49th National Convention 7

The official Convention Headquarter hotel for the 2008 National Convention are the Roen Plaza Hotel, and The Peabody Orlando (coheadquarter hotel). Six hotel will houe oror, guet, their familie, vendor and other attending the 49th National Convention. By huttle, The Orlando Convention Center it i no more than ten minute away. Shuttle tranportation will operate between the Hotel that are not within walking ditance of The Orlando Convention Center. Houing Procedure & Intruction (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY) Delta Sigma Theta ha partnered with Wyndham Jade Houing to adminiter Delta Sigma Theta Sorority room block for the 49th National Convention. Once you have regitered for the Convention online, you will link to Wyndham Jade to make your houing reervation. Pleae keep in mind that you will not be able to reerve houing until you have regitered for the Convention. Online reervation are available 24 hour/day. CONVENTION RATES To receive the convention rate lited, you mut make reervation after you have regitered online for the National Convention. Six hotel are participating a official convention hotel, and are lited in the Call to Convention. See Accommodation and Hotel Rate. HOTEL RESERVATIONS The Delta/Wyndham Jade Houing Bureau will provide an eay and convenient way for you to make your hotel reervation online. Reervation are proceed on a firt come, firt erved bai, effective April 1, 2008. The Delta/Wyndham Jade Houing Bureau ha been intructed to honor requet received on April 1, 2008, and thereafter until the cut off date, June 19, 2008. Requet received prior to the effective date will not be honored. Requet received after the cut off date will be proceed by the hotel. DEPOSIT REQUIRED The Delta/Wyndham Jade Houing Bureau ha been intructed to collect a mandatory TWO (2) NIGHT DEPOSIT for each room plu appropriate taxe (currently 12.5%) at the time of the reervation. REFUND OF DEPOSIT Pleae note that one of the two night depoit will be NON-REFUND- ABLE.
