Group 1 10 NOV 2016 (THU) Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City 1 st HALF DAY Immersion & Exchange at Local Primary School CUCHI Tunnels (B/ L/ D) 0630hrs: Breakfast at hotel. 0800hrs: Begin with Half-Day Local School Visit. *Pre-arranged by SHPS 1200hrs: Lunch at RED HOUSE Halal Restaurant. *together with GROUP 2 1300hrs: After lunch, depart to CUCHI. 1430hrs: Reach and visit Cu Chi Tunnels. The Tunnels of Cu Chi were built over period of 25 years, which began sometimes in the later 1940s. It became legendary during the 1960s for its role in facilitating Viet Cong control of a large rural area only 30km to 40km from HCMC. The tunnel network, parts of which were several storey s deep, including innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living kitchens. Experience yourself by crawling through the network of narrow tunnels dug during the period of Vietnam War. 1600hrs: End Cu Chi tour, back to city. 1800hrs: Arrive back in city.
