DESCRIPTION The Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management is a Program specially designed by UTESA and MCI for young international students, who completed their secondary education and are looking for a technical career in the hospitality or tourism industry. It aims to provide students with a broad understanding of the operational aspects of the international hotel industry and knowledge of the underlying principles involved. Diploma in Duration: 9 months. Language of instruction: English. TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT Duration: 9 months. University: Utesa. Place: Santo Domingo, Mao or Santiago de los Caballeros. OBJECTIVES: The Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management provides an insight into the exciting and demanding Hospitality and Tourism Industry with emphasis on interpersonal and problem-solving skills that provides students with the necessary knowledge to enter the industry. STUDENT PROFILE The program is especially designed for foreign students who completed their secondary education and who want to enter at the world of Hospitality and Tourism and get skills in hotel management. At the same time, students who want to have an approach to the Spanish language, to expand their skills in a global market. GRADUATE PROFILE: A graduate of the Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management, will be able to: Support Supervisor in directives issues by high level positions of command and authority of an organization to enforce internal and external legal dispositions regarding to administrative, financial and tax field of hotels and tourism industry. Promoter of services and products in organizations related to tourism and hotel sector. Assistant in the implementation of action plans for efficient handling of food and beverages.
