VICE Presidents Report Boonah! One of our largest and most successful rallies. When I arrived Thursday, 10 vans were already set up. That night we all went to the pub for dinner, which was enjoyed by all. Then back to Wayne s van for a port and a chat. Friday was the usual 7am walk around the area, followed by a ladies morning. The men had an R&R with a game of disc bowls. The catering committee did a lot of prep work for Saturday s Irish themed dinner. We had a barbecue dinner, followed by games in the hall. Saturday morning was another early morning walk. After working out the car pool, we left for the 4 Real Milk Dairy. This was a truly educational visit, about the process of getting the milk from the cow to the bottle, which we take for granted, when we buy from the shop. We headed back to Boonah via Rathdowney, where we stopped for lunch at the pub. Some brought a picnic lunch to enjoy. That night for dinner the room as well the people were green and greener. The Irish games provided a lot of laughter. Thanks to the catering committee, the ladies as always provided a wonderful meal. A special mention to Les, who cooked his heart out. Sunday the usual wrap up of the rally with a total of 22 vans plus 2 visitors. A big welcome to our visitors Florence and Noel; and hopefully new members Lester and Caroline. A highlight was Russell and Sylvia who came to the rally, and stayed at a local motel, it was great to see that Russell is doing so well. It was wonderful to see Arlene back with us and looking well. Remember we need a minimum of 15 vans at next Birthday Rally with dinner being catered for at Killarney. Cheers Aivars THANKS FOR ASKING Both Bonnie & I would like to thank all those wonderful members who have been in touch in one way or another asking how Bonnie was progressing. At the time on Thursday morning at 9.30am she had a suspected heart attack at home, with all the symptoms I thought it better to not take chances and rang 000, they arrived within 5 minutes while 000 kept me on the line, after doing many tests here at home they said she needed to go to hospital. It took some time and although she had a suspected mild attack they found that the medication she was on was not keeping her blood pressure under control and dropped to 87/ 58 ( for one who has had a quad bypass 140/ 75 is normal, she now since changing her Medication has it under control but will need to monitor it until it stabilises. She is now happy to be out of hospital and back home.so once again say a big thanks to all the club members from both of us. Regards Dennis.
