Practical Information Date and Location The conference will be held on Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 July 2018 at the headquarters of the European Investment Bank (EIB), located on 98-100 Boulevard Konrad Adenauer in Luxembourg. The EIB is a 15-minute drive from Luxembourg airport. Local time and weather Luxembourg is 1 hour ahead of GMT in June. The climate in Luxembourg is temperate and mild. In July the temperature is usually between 18 C and 23 C. Accommodation ALIDE members are responsible for booking their accommodation. EIB has negotiated preferential rates at two selected hotels, both located within walking distance of the EIB. The rates include breakfast, taxes, access to the fitness centre and WiFi. i. Sofitel Luxembourg Europe Kirchberg: Superior Guestroom 250 EUR per night. Booking form Sofitel Luxembourg Europe Kirchberg. ii. Novotel Luxembourg Kirchberg: Superior Guestroom 225 EUR per night. Booking form Novotel Luxembourg Kirchberg. To book a room in one of the selected hotels, please use the attached respective booking form and submit it by 5 June; the reservation must be done directly with the hotel. The payment will be done by each individual guest upon departure. In addition, participants may choose to stay in other hotels subject to availability, but please note that no preferential rates have been negotiated with other hotels. Some suggestions of nearby hotels are the Melia Luxembourg and the Sofitel Grand-Ducal. Flights ALIDE members are responsible for booking their own travel arrangements. Luxembourg airport Findel is on the Kirchberg Plateau where all European Institutions are located. From the airport, the city centre can be reached in approx. 25 minutes by taxi or public transport. Brussels is a two-hour drive by car (3 ½ hours by train) and Paris a 4- hour drive by car or train. Conference participants must cover their own travel and accommodation expenses. Transport EIB will arrange for a shuttle bus service between both selected hotels and the headquarters of the bank on Wednesday and Thursday. We will also organise transport to the dinner venue on Wednesday 4 July. Please be informed that no transport will be organised form the airport. Taxis will be available at the main entrance and exit of the airport.

Social programme An optional social programme will be offered to conference participants for the Thursday afternoon. The programme will include a social element on Thursday 5 July from 14.00 to 16.00. Participants are asked to indicate their participation in the attached registration form; more details will follow in due time. Security at the EIB Security measures are implemented at the entrance of the EIB: metal detectors and x-ray machines for baggage scanning are in operation at all entrances of the EIB buildings and entry will be restricted to persons in possession of a meeting badge. Upon arrival, participants are requested to present a form of identification. They will receive a meeting badge which there are required to wear at all times. Participants are kindly requested not to leave briefcases or valuable items unattended. Conference languages The conference language will be English with simultaneous translation into Spanish. Bilateral meetings The programme foresees the possibility of bilateral meetings between EIB delegates and ALIDE members. For this purpose, a slot on Thursday 5 July from 11.30 to 13.00 has been blocked. ALIDE members are kindly requested to collect their requests for bilateral meetings and to list them per topic and country. Please send the overview of all requests to Julia de Graaf j.degraaf@eib.org by 15 June to allow EIB the appropriate time to schedule meetings with the relevant colleagues. ALIDE members who do not wish to schedule bilateral meetings will have free time during this programme element. En ese sentido, se debe ir desde la Estación Gare de l Est (caminando 10 minutos o en taxi 5 minutos) hasta la Estación Paris Norte (la más cercana) y abordar el RER línea D, con destino a Gare de Lyon y que tarda alrededor de 25 minutos. La adquisición del ticket de tren RER (conocidos como billetes Ile de France ) deberá ser realizada en la misma estación desde cualquier máquina expendedora. Las tarifas van entre 2-12. Es importante mencionar también que desde la Estación Gare de l Est se pueden tomar taxis hacia la Estación Gare de Lyon (20-25 minutos de viaje), y tienen un costo de 15 euros aproximadamente.
