Maintenance Manager advises a section of the facility is undergoing renovations. Three hotel rooms in this part of the facility had their 32 Flat Screen TV s taken. The bolts that hold the TV s to their stands had been removed. Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information From: 08/12/2015 2:30pm To: 08/12/2015 4:25pm 08/12/2015 5:00pm From: 08/15/2015 9:30am To: 08/15/2015 12:00pm 28000 Fairfax St. Front Door was forced open. 26000 Pebbleview Dr. (Residential- Apartments) Attempt only to main door to apartment. 15000 Catalpa Dr. Door Jamb to front door was cracked. Victim advises he left his residence at 2:30pm. Victim returned home at 4:25pm and discovered Home Invasion. Entry was through the front door. The front door had been forced open and damaged. The residence was ransacked and a TV was taken. Victim noticed slight damage to the entrance door jamb at about 5:00pm. It was unknown when the damage actually occurred. No entry was made into the apartment but it appeared that someone attempted to force open the door. Victim advises sometime between 9:30am- 12:00pm someone forced entry into residence. All the bedrooms were ransacked. A Play Station and games are missing. Disposition Stolen With Keys Victim advises sometime between 6:00am- 10:00am someone stole his vehicle. The vehicle was parked at the victim s apartment complex. Victim s neighbor called him and advised him his vehicle was gone. Victim states he parked vehicle in parking lot at his office building around 3:30pm. Victim returned to his vehicle at around 6:30pm and discovered the vehicle missing. Victim thinks the vehicle was taken with keys because he had earlier left his car keys and house keys in the bathroom and now he can t find them.

Victim states sometime between 7:00pm and the following morning at 8:45am someone broke into her 2014 Ford Fusion, went through the vehicle and took a wallet. Suspect(s) also took keys to victim s husband s vehicle 2014 Ford Flex which was in the center console. It was then discovered that the Green Ford Flex was also taken. 08/14/2015 8:12am 23000 Brandywynne St. Status S - Stolen Manufacturer GMC Model ENVOY Color BLK - Black Vehicle Year 2002 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2015 Description 2002 BLACK GMC ENVOY Victim stated he had parked and locked his 2002 Black GMC Envoy in his driveway at approximately 7:00pm on 08/13/2015. He woke up the following morning at 7:45am to find his vehicle missing with broken glass in the driveway. During the early morning of 08/14/2015 there were multiple LFA's in the surrounding area that could be related. Tips: Never leave your vehicle running unattended Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible Use commercially available security devices

Victim advises sometime overnight between 1:00am- 7:00am someone stole laptop from victim s vehicle. (Commercial Alarm Co.) Catalytic Converter was taken from 2000 Oldsmobile Silhouette. 23000 Sargent Ave. Saddle Bags & Contents were taken from 2005 Harley Davidson. Reporting Party (R/P) is the Branch Manager for business which is located in the 21000 Block of Hilltop. R/P stated he rented a 16 Box Truck for his company. The Box Truck was last seen fully intact on 08/10/2015 around 5:30pm. The truck was parked in the back lot of the building. R/P returned to work the next morning around 8:00am and discovered the battery box of the truck had been broken into and the batteries were stolen. Victim advises sometime between 1:30pm 5:00pm someone took the catalytic converter from his 2000 Oldsmobile Silhouette. Video surveillance at business shows a Late Model, Light Colored GMC Yukon as the suspect vehicle. Victim states his saddle bags and contents were stolen from his Harley Davidson on 08/13/2015 between 10:00am- 10:30am.

Victim stated the Portable GPS was stolen out of her vehicle sometime between Wednesday August 12, 2015@ 9:30pm & Thursday August 13, 2015@ 7:40pm. Entry was gained by breaking out the front passenger door window. No suspect information. Victim states that last night at 1:00am she viewed her 2015 Ford Fusion and her mother s 2014 Ford Focus intact and nothing broken or missing. The following morning victim was leaving for work at 6:30am when she noticed both vehicles driver side front windows shattered. Victim states her work phone (I-Phone) was missing along with cash. Nothing was missing from her mother s vehicle. Victim s rear passenger window was broken out. Appeared suspect(s) went through the glove box. Nothing is missing from the vehicle.

(Commercial-Paint & Chemical) Handgun was stolen. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens should never leave their firearms in an unlocked or even a locked vehicle! If you have to leave your firearm in the vehicle it should be in a locked case in the trunk of the vehicle. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Officers were originally sent on a suspicious person running through the backyards. B/M suspect wearing a white t-shirt. Victim who observed suspect then discovered that the window on his vehicle had been broken out. This incident appears to be related to several other LFA s in this area. Victim left his pistol under his driver seat. He last saw the pistol at 7pm. The vehicle was left unlocked and was parked behind the business. The parking area was unsecure. The victim believes one of his work associates may have stolen it because they all know he keeps his pistol under his driver seat.

Nine Mile Rd (Hospital) Status S - Stolen Description Michigan License Plate Disposition Stolen Plate was on 2013 Lincoln MKS Victim parked her vehicle at approximately 2:05pm in the parking lot and the plate was on her vehicle. When she came out to the vehicle for her break at 7:45pm the plate was missing.
From: 08/15/2015 11:50am To: 08/15/2015 12:15pm 22000 W Eight Mile Rd. (Commercial Wholesale Discount Store ) 2- Wheels & Tires from the passenger side of victims 2013 GMC Terrain were taken. Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked Victim arrived at business and parked his vehicle in the S/E parking lot south of the main entrance off W. Eight Mile Rd and across from the tire installation bay's near the sidewalk adjacent to W. Eight Mile Rd. It was determined through Video Surveillance that the victim arrived and entered business at approximately 11:36am. At approximately 11:54am two possible suspect vehicles were seen in the area of victim s vehicle. #1- Red Dodge Caravan with black wheels arrives and parks in the area of the victim's vehicle. At 11:58am the Red Dodge Caravan leaves quickly out of the same main driveway onto W. Eight Mile Rd. At 12:00pm a Black Chevrolet Trailblazer pulls into the same area of the parking lot and then leaves at approximately 12:04pm.

Special Attention: PPO Violation 08/10/2015 12:19am 30000 Block of Marshall St. Victim just recently obtained a PPO against her exboyfriend. Since obtaining PPO, her ex-boyfriend has become very aggressive showing up at restaurants, stores and social gatherings that she has attended. On this date victim left her residence in her vehicle and ex-boyfriend pulled up next to her and attempted to get her to stop and nearly hit her vehicle. Victim returned home and called the police. An area check for suspect was negative. Suspect drives a Black Crossfire and has access to a Silver BMW. The suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. DWLS/ CCW/ Altered Serial #/ Warrant- 1- Arrest 08/11/2015 9:51pm W Eight Mile Rd & Evergreen Rd. Officers stopped vehicle for traffic violation. During the stop Officers located a handgun under the front seat. The handgun had an altered serial # and it s believed to be a stolen handgun. The subjects Driver s License was also Suspended.
Special Attention: LFA s/ Auto Thefts Several Incidents occurred in the early morning hours on 08/14/2015 in the area of 9 Mile & Beech Rd. 1) 23000 Block of Brandywynne St. (Auto Theft) 2) 23000 Block of Almira St. (LFA) 3) 24000 Block of Thorndyke St. (2-LFA s) 4) 23000 Block of Kristy Ln. (LFA) Domestic A&B/ Obstructing P.O. / Violation of Injunctive Order/ Possible Home Invasion. 08/13/2015 10:26am 23000 Block of Providence Dr. Several Southfield Officers responded to Domestic Assault Investigation. The suspect was located in his vehicle attempting to leave the Apartment Complex. The suspect was uncooperative and refused to exit his vehicle or speak to Officers. After confirmation that an Assault had taken place Officers took the suspect into custody for Domestic Assault, Obstructing P.O. & Violating Injunctive Order (PPO) that victim had filed against suspect.
Embezzlement > $1000.00/ Larceny In Building 2- Arrests 29000 Block of Southfield Rd. 6:14pm Commercial- Financial Institution Officers dispatched to location on a report of a large sum of cash that had just been stolen by a B/M suspect. Upon investigating the incident it was determined that a female employee placed an undisclosed amount of cash on the counter and her boyfriend came in and took the cash. The female employee later admitted to purposely leaving the cash accessible in order for her boyfriend to take it. After an exhaustive investigation by several Southfield Officers the B/M suspect was located and most of the cash was recovered. The male and female were arrested and lodged.
OWI- 1- Arrest Northwestern & Northwestern Service Dr. Officer stopped a vehicle for erratic driving at the listed location. An OWI investigation was conducted and the driver was ultimately arrested for OWI. OWI/ CPL Violation 1- Arrest 18680 Eight Mile Rd. Officers were dispatched to the location on a report of a slumped subject. Upon arrival, an OWI investigation was conducted and the driver was ultimately arrested for OWI. The driver was in possession of a firearm while intoxicated. He was also charged with CPL Violation.
