BARCELONA DAY 3: BARCELONA (B, D) Breakfast at the hotel. Today s sightseeing starts with a short walking tour that starts in the Gothic Quarter and goes to the Plaza Saint Jaime where we will see the Generalitat Palace and Town Hall. We will then get on a bus for a panoramic city tour that includes Antoni Gaudi s famous buildings Casa Batlló and Casa Milà and ends with a visit to the Sagrada Família an unfinished masterpiece of the world famous architect Antoni Gaudí. Lunch on your own. Acoustic rehearsal and sound check. CONCERT I: Concert in the Barcelona area. Possible mini-festival concert with local male choirs. Group dinner. Overnight in Barcelona.

BARCELONA MONTSERRAT BARCELONA DAY 4: BARCELONA MONTSERRAT BARCELONA (B, D) Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy an excursion to Montserrat or another town depending on the concert. A mountain made up of a stunning ensemble of crags, Montserrat rises dramatically from the surrounding countryside. Nestled high in the folds of its unusual rock formations are a basilica and a Benedictine monastery, both owing their existence to the presence of the Virgin of Montserrat (La Moreneta). Lunch on your own. Acoustic rehearsal and sound check. CONCERT II: Possible exchange and concert in Monserrat with boy choir and/or male chapel choir. Possible concert on your own in Barcelona. Group dinner. Overnight in Barcelona.

BARCELONA MADRID DAY 5: BARCELONA MADRID (B, D) Breakfast at the hotel. Check out of the hotel. Travel to Madrid by train. Lunch on your own. Brief orientation tour of Madrid. Check-in to the hotel Group dinner. Overnight in Madrid.

MADRID DAY 6: MADRID (B, D) Breakfast at the hotel. Sightseeing tour of the Royal Palace, Calle and Plaza Mayor (medieval Madrid), which is lined by beautiful buildings and the city s oldest church, San Nicolas de los Servitas. Lunch on your own. Free time to go shopping at Calle Serrano and the Gran Via. Visit the Victory Arch, the Rastro Flea Market, and the Plaza de las Cibeles and Puerta del Sol. Acoustic rehearsal and sound check. CONCERT III: Possible exchange with a local Male Choir in the Madrid area. Group dinner. Overnight in Madrid.

MADRID TOLEDO MADRID DAY 7: MADRID TOLEDO MADRID (B, D) Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy an excursion to Toledo. The fortified medieval city built on a hill overlooking the Tagus River, is without a doubt one of the densest monumental cities in the world. It also lays claim to being the hometown of Spanish artist El Greco and houses many of his famous works. You will see the Cathedral of Toledo, the Church of Santo Tomé and the Greco House. Lunch on your own Return to Madrid. Group Dinner. Overnight in Madrid.

MADRID SEGOVIA MADRID DAY 8: MADRID SEGOVIA MADRID (B, FD) Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy an excursion to Segovia or another town depending on the concert. Segovia's sights include the Alcazar, a stunning castle high up on the western edge of town, and the remarkable 2,000-year-old arched Roman Aqueduct, considered the finest Roman structure in Spain and a masterpiece of engineering. Lunch on your own. Acoustic rehearsal and sound check. ALTERNATE CONCERT: Concert in Segovia or another town. May be another exchange or part of a festival. Farewell dinner. Overnight in Madrid.

Located near the border with France and just inland from the Mediterranean, Figueres is famous as the hometown of surrealist painter Salvador Dali. The town's Salvador Dali Museum is a must-see and one of the most popular museums in Spain. Dali designed it himself, and it echoes his bizarre and flamboyant personality (the egg shapes adorning the exterior give you an early indication of what's in store). Group lunch is included. Return to Barcelona. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Barcelona.

POST-TOUR: MADRID AVILA MADRID DAY 9: MADRID AVILA MADRID (B, L) Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a half day excursion to Avila, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Avila's main attraction is its medieval wall which completely encircles the old part of town. Just inside one gate is the Convent of St. Teresa, with a small church built over the saint's birthplace. Avila also has interesting narrow streets, intimate squares and many churches including an intriguing fortified cathedral and the Monasterio de Santo Tomas (the summer home of Ferdinand and Isabella). Group lunch. Return to Madrid. Free time to explore on your own. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Madrid.

POST-TOUR: MADRID EL ESCORIAL MADRID DAY 10: MADRID EL ESCORIAL MADRID (B, D) Breakfast at the hotel. Free time to explore on your own. Lunch on your own. Enjoy an excursion San Lorenzo de El Escorial, home to the impressive 16th-century Royal Monastery of El Escorial, which was built as a summer retreat by ascetic Philip II. It boasts one of Europe's finest tapestry collections and houses sculptures and paintings (including portraits of Spanish royalty) by Spanish and Italian masters. You can also visit the actual tombs of Spanish monarchs. All the kings of the last 500 years, from Charles V to Alfonso XIII, are buried at El Escorial. Group dinner. Overnight in Madrid.
