Here, you will board the 4-star Premiere Cruise Ship and depart at 17.00hrs for the Austrian city of Melk. Day 2 - Melk Following a morning spent exploring the magnificent baroque Benedictine monastery, Melk Abbey, you will continue your journey to Vienna, arriving in the city at 19.00hrs where you will berth overnight in Nussdorf. Day 3 - Vienna Day 3 of your Danube adventure will be spent in Austria s vibrant capital of Vienna. Best known for its imperial history and its connection with the classical music world, Vienna is a history-lover s haven and a culture-vulture s paradise! You will enjoy a full day of sightseeing, including a visit to Schönbrunn Palace, before departing for Budapest. Day 4 - Budapest Arriving in Budapest in the morning, you will enjoy a guided tour of the city: in Buda, you ll find royal palaces, ancient history and quaint spas, while over the Danube River in Pest, you ll discover the bustling cosmopolitan hub of the city. In the evening, you can enjoy Budapest at night with the added entertainment of a folklore show!
Day 5 - Budapest Experience a morning of traditional Hungarian entertainment at the Puszta Horse Show, before departing from Budapest at 13.15hrs and cruising overnight to Bratislava. Day 6 - Bratislava Arriving in Slovakia s capital city Bratislava at 06.30hrs, you will enjoy a guided walking tour of the city, with time to explore the 18th century old town. Set against a picturesque backdrop of vineyards and mountains, Bratislava is a truly unique city due to its juxtaposition of old-world charm and modern city buzz. At 15.30hrs, the ship departs Bratislava, cruising overnight towards Dürnstein, Austria Day 7 - Dürnstein You will spend the morning in the traditional Austrian town of Dürnstein, with time to visit the medieval castle and the stunning Dürnstein Abbey, before departing for Passau in the afternoon. Day 8 - Passau The ship arrives in Passau at 08.00hrs where you will disembark and begin your return journey home. Danube River Cruise FAQ s The ship doesn t have an on-board doctor but the crew are first aid trained. The Cruise Ship The 4-star premier cruise ship, Ms Serenity, is decked with polished and stylish interiors, comfortable ensuite cabins, a spacious lounge and bar area and a quality restaurant. The Cabins All cabins are the same size with the same facilities including twin beds, air conditioning, satellite TV, safe and hairdryer and have all been designed and maintained to a high standard to ensure a comfortable stay. The only difference is the outside view and window size. The cabins on the Panorama Deck feature a sliding full-size window with the best views.
