(Apartments) Apartment Door was pried open. Victim states sometime between 6:10am- 4:10pm someone forced entry into apartment and took items including a Flat Screen TV. On 01/04/2018 there was a similar Home Invasion in another nearby building. 2- Flat Screen TV s were taken in that incident. This incident occurred sometime between 7:00am- 10:00pm. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician processed the scene and evidence was recovered. 02/05/2018 5:08pm 25000 Shiawassee Rd (Apartments) Apartment door was pried. Victim states sometime between 6:10am- 4:10pm someone forced entry into apartment and took some misc. jewelry and other items. This Home Invasion is most likely related to the above incident that occurred in the same building during the same time frame.

From: 02/06/2018 10:00am To: 02/07/2018 2:30am 23000 Evergreen Rd. (Apartments) Apartment door was pried open. Victim states she left her apartment at 10:00am and returned home at 2:30am. When victim went to enter her apartment, she had a hard time opening the door and noticed pry marks on the outside of the door and the door jamb damaged. Victim checked her apartment and discovered numerous items were missing from the apartment. (Assisted Living Apartments) Status AS Attempt Stolen Manufacturer DODGE Model STRATUS Color SIL - Silver or Aluminum Vehicle Year 2005 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2018 Description Silver 2005 Dodge Stratus Victim states sometime between 12:00pm- 4:00pm someone forced entry into vehicle by prying the door lock and then attempted to steal the vehicle by punching out the ignition. The suspect(s) left behind a black & yellow screwdriver on the front seat. Victim is an employee at the Apartment Complex. From: 02/09/2018 11:00pm To: 02/10/2018 7:00am 20000 Lahser Rd. (Apartments) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer CHEVROLET Model MALIBU Color BLU - Blue Vehicle Year 2009 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2018 Victim parked her vehicle at the Apartment Complex located in the 20000 Block of Lahser Rd. Sometime between 11:00pm and the following morning at 7:00am someone stole her 2009 Blue Chevy Malibu. No suspect information at this time. Security Officer witnessed via surveillance camera a B/M 50-60 years old wearing a Black Navy Peat Coat and blue jeans. The suspect was observed taking the center hub caps off a Silver Lincoln MKX SUV. The suspect left south on Southfield Rd in a Gold 2008-2010 Buick Regal 4 door sedan. From: 02/06/2018 3:00pm To: 02/07/2018 8:30am From: 02/06/2018 5:30pm To: 02/07/2018 7:30am 17000 Dorset Ave Stereo/ Navigation System was taken from 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 Pick Up Truck. 18000 Westover Ave. Radio, Handgun & IPhone were taken. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens should never leave anything of value in their vehicles! Victim stated that she parked her car at 5:30pm. Victim was alerted by a family member that someone had broken into her vehicle the following morning at 7:30am. Someone had broken out her rear passenger side window and gained entry. Victim stated they stole her Radio, Handgun, and Cell Phone.

Victim stated that sometime between 1:00am- 8:30am someone broke into her 2015 Chrysler 300 and attempted to steal her radio. The suspect(s) broke out her rear left window and tore apart her dashboard attempting to steal her radio. From: 02/08/2018 8:45pm To: 02/08/2018 9:00pm 25000 Northwestern (Commercial Office) Apple MacBook, Apple IPAD, Pink Notebook, & a Silver Backpack were stolen from victims 2017 Jeep Compass. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens should never leave anything of value in the interior of their vehicles. Especially Cell Phones, Wallets, Purses, Handguns, and any other Electronic items! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Victim utilized an Uber Driver and inadvertently left her Backpack in the back seat of the Uber Drivers vehicle. Victim contacted the driver and the driver stated the backpack wasn t in the vehicle. Victim filed a Police Report with our Department. Victim contacted Uber and the driver again and advised them a Police Report was made. The backpack was suddenly found and returned to victim at an undisclosed location. The driver has been identified.

From: 02/10/2018 4:00pm To: 02/11/2018 2:00pm 23000 Lahser Rd. (Church) I Phone and Laptop were taken from 2014 Dodge Durango. Victim reports last seeing everything inside her 2014 Dodge Durango on 02/10/2018 at approx. 4:00pm. Victim noticed items missing on 02/11/2018 at approx. 2:00pm. The vehicle was unlocked and there was no damage. Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked

Armed Robbery: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details 02/08/2018 11:21pm 20000 Camden Sq. (Apartments) Cash & an I-Phone were taken. Victim states on 02/08/2018 at approximately 9:15pm he parked his car in the 20000 Block of Camden Square. (Apartment Complex) After parking his vehicle an unknown B/M (5-'6"-5'-8", approx. 20 years of age, shoulder length braided hair, no facial hair, black zip up jacket, black gloves) and an unknown W/F (5'-6"-5'-8", approx. 20 years of age, black zip up jacket) approached him on the south side of his vehicle. The B/M asked victim to borrow his phone to call a friend. As victim was dialing the number, the B/M suspect grabbed victims iphone from his hand and produced a gun from his right side. The B/M suspect pointed the gun at victim and demanded all his money. Victim believed the gun was real and feared for his life. Victim gave the B/M suspect what money he had on him. The B/M suspect hit victim on the left side of his face with the gun and both suspects fled on foot. Victim observed an unknown 4-dr sedan, either gray or gold in color, coming from the direction the suspects fled. Victim was unable to see the occupants of the vehicle. Vehicle possibly involved. A BB Gun was recovered from the scene. It appears that it broke apart when the suspect hit victim with it.

From: 02/09/2018 2:40am To: 02/09/2018 2:46am 26000 Central Park (Hotel) An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from victim. Victim states that he parked his vehicle between two buildings at Hotel in the 26000 Block of Central Park Blvd. When victim got out of his vehicle he was immediately met by unknown suspect who was pointing a handgun at him. The suspect demanded all his money. Victim threw his car keys and phone into his vehicle and then opened his jacket and told the suspect to take whatever money he had in his pockets. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash from victim, then ran off towards the north-east side of the complex. Victim got into in his vehicle and drove around looking to locate the suspect but could not find him. Victim then contacted the police. Suspect Description: Last Name SUSPECT First Name UNKNOWN DOB (Age) Sex M Race BLACK Complexion Build Thin Teeth Height 5' 9" Weight 170 Attire Gray Hoodie/Black Mask/Gray and Black Pants

02/10/2018 7:40pm 24000 W Twelve Mile (Commercial-Fast Food) An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from victim. Victim advises around 7:30pm he went to the 24000 Block of Twelve Mile Rd. to get some food. There were five young black males at the Fast Food Restaurant when he was there. Victim did not know them. Victim left the restaurant around 7:40pm and was headed back across Lockdale St. just south of 12 Mile Rd. when he was approached by the same five young black males. They were driving in a Light Tan or Beige Older Ford Taurus. One of the males got out of the back seat and lifted his sweatshirt to reveal what appeared to be the handle of a gun. The subject told victim to "run yo pockets" and then took an undisclosed amount of cash from victim. The other 4 black males never got out of the car. The suspect returned to the rear seat of the suspect vehicle and the vehicle left S/B on Lockdale. Victim described the subject who robbed him as the following: Black Male, Light Skinned, about 6'-0-6'-2", Heavy set, about 200 lbs., Fat Nose, Age: 17-18 -LSW: Black Beanie, Red Sweater.

02/10/2018 9:33pm 22000 Telegraph Rd. (Commercial- Market) Cell Phones were taken from both victims. Southfield Officers were dispatched to 22000 Block of Telegraph (Market) on a report of an Armed Robbery that just occurred. Upon arrival, Officers met with two male teenage victims inside of the store. The victims stated that three known males and one known female approached them in the alley at the rear of the store. One of the males pointed a handgun at the victims and demanded their belongings. The female produced a can of pepper spray and sprayed both victims in the face. The victims surrendered their belongings and the suspects fled the scene in a Brown Chevy Monte Carlo. The victims know the suspects because they went to school with them in Southfield. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Suspect Descriptions: Suspect#1: B/M/ late teens armed with a black handgun. Suspect#2: B/F/ 17 armed with a can of pepper spray. Suspect #3: B/M/ late teens 5-5 with a tattoo on his left arm wearing blue/yellow Jordan tennis shoes. Suspect #4 B/M late teens with a short afro. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> On 02/13/2018 at approx. 8:35pm Southfield Officer observed a Brown 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo stopped S/B on Evergreen Rd. at Eleven Mile Rd. for the red traffic signal. The vehicle was identified as a wanted vehicle in

Tips: Always be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious incidents or persons to your local police. If something doesn t appear right or someone looks like they are up to no good, call the police immediately Trust your intuition connection with recent armed robberies in Southfield. Officer attempted to stop the vehicle but the vehicle didn t stop. Officer activated his lights & siren and successfully performed the P.I.T. maneuver to prevent a pursuit. After the vehicle spun and came to a rest in the snow on the east side of Evergreen Rd. Officer positioned his vehicle to prevent vehicle from fleeing any further. Additional Officers arrived on scene to assist. The vehicle was occupied by three suspects. All believed to be involved in this and possibly other Armed Robberies. Officers Investigation and an inventory search of the vehicle by Officers located a handgun & a canister of pepper spray matching the description of that used in our Armed Robbery. All Three suspects were taken into custody w/o incident.

Be on the Look Out Highlights: Special Attention: Home Invasions 25000 Block of Shiawassee (Apartments) 3- Home Invasions recently: All the incidents are occurring during the daytime. 1) 25000 Block of Shiawassee Rd. (Apartments) Occurred between 7:00am- 10:00pm Entry possibly through sliding door wall on second story balcony. Numerous items were taken. 2) 25000 Block of Shiawassee Rd. (Apartments) Occurred between 7:00am- 10:00pm 1-Flat Screen TV was taken. (Apartments) Occurred between 6:10am- 10:00pm Numerous items were taken.

Suspect and Suspect Vehicle Information relating to LFA of Center Caps: Incident occurred in the 23000 Block of Northwestern (Office Complex) at 10:45am. Security Officer witnessed via surveillance camera a B/M 50-60 years old wearing a Black Navy Peat Coat and blue jeans. The suspect was observed taking center hub caps off a Silver Lincoln MKX. The suspect left south on Southfield Rd in a Gold 2008-2010 Buick Regal 4 door sedan. Fleeing & Eluding/ CCW/ Possession of Firearm During the Commission of a Crime/ Possession of Prescription Drugs w/o a Prescription/ Possession of Marijuana/ DWLS- 1-Arrest 02/05/2018 3:50pm Fall River Rd. & Framingham Dr. On 02/05/2018 suspect and the vehicle he was driving were wanted out of another jurisdiction for Flee & Elude and Fleeing a Property Damage Accident. Southfield Officer was on patrol where the suspect was believed to live in Southfield when he observed the suspect driving his vehicle. Officer attempted to stop the vehicle and the vehicle fled from him. The pursuit ended after two Officers pinned the suspect vehicle in. Officers got the driver out of the vehicle and took him into custody. A Lein Check on the driver showed he had a Suspended & Expired Driver s License. The driver also had numerous warrants out of two other jurisdictions. A handgun was located on the driver side floorboard of the suspect s vehicle. Officers also located a bag of suspected marijuana and a bottle of prescription pills on suspects person. The bottle of prescription pills had the label torn, so there was no name visible on the bottle. The suspect was transported to the Southfield Jail for processing. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician Field Tested the suspected marijuana. The result was positive for possible presence of marijuana.

Special Attention: Larceny of Packages that were ordered and delivered via Common Carrier. How to prevent this from happening to you! Recently several citizens have had packages that were delivered to their residences and apartments stolen prior to them retrieving the packages. Citizens can prevent this from happening by scheduling a specific time to have the package delivered and be waiting for the package. Citizen can also schedule the package to be picked up by themselves at the common carrier facility. Obstruct Police/ Possession of Marijuana/ Southfield Warrant- 1- Arrest 02/07/2018 11:27pm I-696 & Evergreen Rd. Southfield Officer stopped vehicle for several Traffic Violations. After contact was made with the driver, Officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and the driver couldn t produce a valid Driver s License. Further investigation revealed that the driver gave Officer an alias name and upon finding the drivers real name it was discovered that the driver had numerous warrants for his arrest including one out of Southfield. A Southfield Police K-9 Unit conducted a sweep of the vehicle and located a bag of suspected marijuana. Further search of the vehicle by Officers located a second bag with suspected marijuana and a scale in the car. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician Field Tested a sample of the suspected marijuana. The result was positive for possible presence of marijuana. The driver was arrested for Obstruct P.O., the Southfield Warrant and Possession of Marijuana.

(Especially Handguns, Purses, Wallets, Cash & Cell Phones!) - If you have a garage you should park your vehicle in the garage and lock the garage. - Wheel Locks are a deterrent but don t leave the wheel lock key in the interior of your vehicle, especially the center console or glove box. This is the first place they will look for the wheel lock. -After parking your vehicle turn your wheels all the way to the right or the left. This will make it difficult to get the lug nuts off the front wheels. Possession of Marijuana/ Obstruct Police/ DWLS II 1- Arrest 02/08/2018 7:48pm W Eight Mile Rd. & Lahser Rd. Southfield Police Officers were on routine patrol when they observed vehicle commit traffic violation. After the vehicle was stopped and Officers approached the vehicle they detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle. Officer observed suspected marijuana shake in the interior of the vehicle and on the lap of the driver. Further investigation by Officers they recovered suspected marijuana, a scale, individual sandwich baggies and an undisclosed amount of currency. The driver gave an alias name and after discovering his real name his driver s license was found to be suspended. The driver was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Obstructing Police & DWLS II. The result was positive for possible presence of marijuana. -If you don t have a garage, try to park your vehicle as close to your residence as possible -If you here any loud noises near where your vehicle is parked, especially during the late night or early morning hours, attempt to look outside without alerting anyone and if someone is tampering with

your vehicle immediately call 911, (Do Not Approach or Scare the Suspects Away) give Police Dispatchers as much information about the suspect(s) and suspect vehicles as you can. Stay on the phone with Dispatchers until the Police arrive. -Lots of lighting around the area(s) that you park your vehicles is also very beneficial. Criminals don t like to work in well lighted areas. They prefer to work in darkness because it s difficult to see them. Domestic Assault- 1- Arrest 02/08/2015 3:24am 28000 Block of Northwestern (Coney Island) Officers were dispatched to the 28000 Block of Northwestern (Coney Island) reference a distraught female asking for police. Upon arrival to the area, Officers came across a male who turned out to be the husband of the female. Investigation revealed that the female had been assaulted in her car by her husband. The husband was arrested and lodged in the Southfield Jail.
