Nashville & Branson Christmas Tour November 17 th to December 1 st, 2014 14 Nights and 15 Days Summary Itinerary Monday, November 17 th Meet your Driver and Tour Director from Target Tours and depart on your 15- day Nashville & Branson Christmas Tour. We leave from the Wal-Mart parking lot in Charlottetown at 6:00 am with pick up in Borden, Aulac, Salisbury, Lincoln, and Woodstock. Transfers are provided from Dartmouth, Truro, and Saint John. Travel through New Brunswick and Maine with rest-stops and lunch along the way. Your tour director will keep you entertained with games and trivia on the coach to make the trip pass quickly. Arrive at your host hotel, the Hampton Inn, in Portsmouth, NH. There are restaurants nearby if you would like to do some exploring. Tuesday, November 18 th travel to Winchester, VA. Drive through Massachusetts and Connecticut and pass by New York on our way to Virginia. We have rest-stops and lunch along the way. You can enjoy the scenery and get to know your fellow passengers as we travel. Arrive at your host hotel the Hampton Inn & Suites in Winchester, VA. Have dinner at one of the local restaurants or relax in the hotel. Wednesday, November 19 th travel to scenic Pigeon Forge, TN. Stop for lunch and rest breaks along the way. Enjoy the scenery and on-board entertainment offered by your tour director. Arrive at Dollywood at 3:00 pm and enjoy a Smoky Mountain Christmas at Dollywood, with shows such as Dollywood Christmas on Ice, Christmas in the Smokies, and much more! Arrive at our hotel the Hampton Inn in Pigeon Forge TN. Check-in and explore the area. Thursday, November 20 th Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet with your Tour Director. This morning we tour to the top of the Newfound Gap, the highest point on the beautiful mountain road connecting Tennessee and North Carolina in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, American's most visited National Park. Our local guide will take us to the top of the mountains and back with an array of history, stories, and legend about the area and the people that inhabited it before the park was formed. Along the way you will see spectacular scenery and maybe even some wildlife!
We will have lunch and free time in Gatlinburg, TN. After lunch, we travel to Nashville with rest stop along the way. We check into our hotel the Hampton Inn at Opryland, Nashville, TN. Just minutes away from the fabulous Gaylord Opryland Resort, we will enjoy the hospitality of the Hampton Inn while being able to visit the attractions of the Gaylord Resort. Enjoy dinner locally and get ready for tonight s show. Tonight is a free night to explore the city. We can assist with booking tickets to Restless Heart s new Dinner Theatre. Must confirm by final payment date. Friday, November 21 st Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet with your Tour Director. This morning a step-on-guide will provide us with a tour of the many landmarks located in Nashville including Historic RCA Studio B. Historic RCA Studio B is one of the world's most important and successful recording studios. More than 35,000 songs were brought to life by the Studio B magic, including more than 1,000 American hits, 40 million-selling singles, and over 200 Elvis Presley recordings. Step into the house of the hit makers and discover the legend of this Music Row landmark. Lunch will be in one of the famous Honky Tonks in the historic downtown. Two local musicians will share their craft and entertain you with some tunes as you enjoy lunch during a unique Songwriter s Circle. After lunch, we return to the hotel to get ready for the Opry. Have dinner in a local restaurant. Enjoy a Radio City Rockettes performance at Gaylord Opryland Hotel. The Rockettes have made a special trip from NYC to dazzle us with their beautiful costumes and precision dancing. Saturday, November 22 nd Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet with your Tour Director to prepare for your visit to the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum. As the world s largest music museum, the Country Music Hall of Fame gives country music fans the ultimate experience, displaying everything from rhinestone costumes to tear-stained lyric sheets. Some will say that a trip to Nashville is never complete without visiting the tried and true honky-tonk saloons along downtown Broadway. We will drop you off there for the afternoon to check out restaurants and bars such as Legends Corner, The Stage and Cadillac Ranch. Admission is free at these well-known saloons, and there are lots of shops to buy memorabilia too. This evening you will enjoy The Show That Made Country Music Famous, The Grand Ole Opry at the Ryman Auditorium. The Grand Ole Opry promotes the music of everyone from senior citizens Jimmy Dickens and Jean Shepard to hotshot youngsters Dierks Bentley, Trace Adkins and Brad Paisley. This multigenerational approach has served the show well for more than 80 years. Sit back and enjoy the live music, you never know who may show up on stage! Sunday, November 23 rd Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet with your Tour Director to check out of the hotel. It s time to bid farewell to Nashville and head to Memphis and Graceland, the home of the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis. After lunch, step inside Graceland Mansion and follow in the same steps as Elvis himself as you enjoy an audio-guided tour featuring commentary by Elvis and
his daughter Lisa Marie. Later this afternoon we arrive at the Springhill Suites in Downtown Memphis and check in. Catch the trolley right outside your door to historic Beale Street where you will hear the blues music of Memphis. Tonight we will have a group dinner at Kooky Canucks followed by free time in Memphis. Monday, November 24 th Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet with your Tour Director. This morning we depart at 8:00 am for Branson, MO with stops for rest breaks and lunch along the way. Arrive in Branson and check in Holiday Inn Express 76 Central, in Branson, MO. Meet the group for a Dinner Theatre at the Dixie Stampede. Filled with thrilling horse riding stunts, spectacular special effects, phenomenal musical productions and a mouth-watering four-course feast, this will be a night to remember. Tuesday, November 25 th leave for a 10:00 am performance by Clay Cooper's Country Music Express. This high-energy variety show will introduce you to some of Branson's finest characters with singing, dancing, comedy, and a six piece live band. Explore Branson on your own. Stop at the legendary Titanic Museum, take in an afternoon matinee, or hit the shops. Choose from one of the many restaurants or dinner theatres in the area for supper. Meet the group at 7:15 pm to depart for one of Branson s original show on the strip, Presley s Jubilee Christmas Show. The Presley family built the very first theater on the famed Highway 76 Strip, just a country road at the time in the middle of what seemed like nowhere. Enjoy country favorites, southern gospel and hilarious Ozarks comedy, featuring Branson's first family of entertainment. Wednesday, November 26 th Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet with your Tour Director. Join the group for a morning performance by George Dyer. Acclaimed by many as one of the finest tenors in the world, George Dyer adds a polished showmanship and audience connection that will make you feel as if you were on Broadway, in Las Vegas, or at the Met! George sings a variety of musical genres including power ballads, Broadway hits, love songs, favorite oldies, gospel, and more. / Meet the group in the lobby at 3:30 pm to depart for an eventful evening. Hop onboard the Showboat Branson Belle for an early dinner and entertainment. The Branson Belle is a two hour cruise on a 700 seat paddle wheeler. After dinner, the fun continues at Hamner s Wing s of Christmas Show. This Christmas extravaganza features the best of the award-winning magic and comedy of the Hamner Barber Variety Show in the first half and a heaping display of musical holiday treats in the second half. Today we will pass through St. Louis, MO. We will be stopping for lunch and to stretch your legs along the way.
Friday, November 28 th Arrive at the Holiday Inn Express Southeast in Indianapolis, IN. You re free for the evening to explore the area and have dinner at local restaurant. check out and travel to Wheeling, OH, for a spectacular light show. Relax as you travel and take in the scenery. Arrive at the Hampton Inn, Wheeling/St. Clairesville, OH in early afternoon to relax. After supper, we board the coach and drive through the Festival of Lights at Oglebay Resort with a local guide to share the history and stories of the area. This annual holiday light show is one of the nation's largest, covering more than 300 acres over a six-mile drive throughout the resort. Saturday, November 29 th Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet with your Tour Director, and check out of our hotel. This morning we will be travelling to Lancaster, VA. Arrive in Lancaster, PA after noon. You have the choice to shop at the Tanger outlets or visit the quaint town of Bird-in-Hand to see their unique shops, bakeries, and traditions. We will check into our host hotel, the Holiday Inn Express, Lancaster, PA at 3:30 pm and depart for the evening at 4:15 pm. Enjoy a delicious farewell dinner at Bird-in-Hand Smorgasbord before the show. Arrive at Sight and Sound Theatre for our 6:30 showing of "The Miracle of Christmas." This spectacular show will let you relive the Nativity story as they incorporate live animals and wonderful actors on their 300-foot-stage.
