The museum is divided into nine rooms where uniforms, weapons, flags, documents, photographs and newspapers of that era. 71
Quinta Gameros Eclectic mansion (mixing Renaissance, baroque, gothic and other architectural styles), originally built as the residence of a well-known mine engineer by the name of Manuel Gameros. Its interior is decorated with art nouveau furniture and objects. In 1999, Quinta Gameros was declared a National Artistic Monument. The Trolley Characteristics: Bus decorated as an early twentieth century wagon train, bearing the name The Tarahumara. Chihuahua Downtown CHEPE Railroad It covers the Chihuahua-Los Mochis (municipality in the State of Sinaloa)-Chihuahua route. It is renowned as one of the top 10 most spectacular train journeys in the world. It has run in the Copper Canyon since 1961. Its infrastructure is a masterpiece of Mexican engineering. The railroad is 653 km (405 mi) long and has, 37 bridges and 86 tunnels. In this tour, take the time to stop an overnight at least in the stations of Creel, Divisadero or Cerocahui. The Copper Canyon This 60,000 km (37,282 mi) geological system of mountains and deep canyons was formed 60 million years ago and is four times larger than the Colorado Canyon in Arizona, United States of America. Some of the most important are Urique, Sinforosa, Batopilas, Candameña and Huápoca canyons. The height of the mountains exceeds 3,000 m (9,842 ft). Traditionally, the entrance to the canyon is through the Chihuahua-Pacific Railroad (CHE- PE), but now the zone has an excellent road network. Creel (Second leg in the tour) Characteristics: This is the entrance to the canyon in the Tarahumara mountain range. This colorful town has su Creel perb tourist facilities, including a visit to the House of Handicrafts, where a historical and cultural sample of the Raramuri (Tarahumara) people is displayed. Arareko and Cusárare (Tarahumara communities) and Recohuata (thermal water spring) are located in the surrounding area. The Basaseachi and Piedra Volada Waterfalls The two highest waterfalls in México are located inside the Basaseachi National Park (covering 625.5 hectares) in the Barranca de la Candameña, one of the most charming in the region. The observation points of the Rancho San Lorenzo offer the most spectacular views of the canyon and the Basaseachi waterfall (246 m -807 ft), while in order to reach the Piedra Volada (453 m -1,486 ft), only visible during the summer, you have to travel along a dirt road for 2 kilometres from the village of Huajamar.
