Gatwick Airport remained closed for a second day and was not expected to open before this morning. A spokesman said that 45 cm of snow over the past two days was too much for a team of 100 people and 45 vehicles trying to clear the single runway. Tomorrow: Slightly warmer across UK, reaching 5 C in the South West, 2 C in London, 0 C in Scotland. Sunday: Remaining slightly milder. Dry, sunny and pleasant over almost the entire country.
