Advanced Pelvic Floor Reconstructive Surgery Course (Hands On Fresh Cadavers) Scottish Pelvic Floor Network (SPFN), in collaboration with Clinical Anatomy Skills Centre - niversity of Glasgow, Friday 6 th Saturday 7 th February 2015 Two-days advanced pelvic floor surgery workshop; hands-on non-embalmed full fresh cadavers. Who should attend: The course is aimed at gynecologists and urologists who would like to improve their knowledge in female pelvic floor anatomy and enhance their skills in pelvic floor reconstructive surgery & surgical treatment of urinary incontinence. Number strictly limited to 15 candidates: Maximum of 3 candidates per cadaver to ensure maximum hands-on experience. Each group will be coached by faculty members: for vaginal procedures assistance and for abdominal bird s eye view of the pelvis. Course objectives: Improve candidates understanding of the pelvic floor surgical anatomy & the concept of the pelvic floor as one functional unit. Allow the candidates maximum hands on experience on the cadavers; Faculty to coach rather than perform. Provide candidates with hands-on take home tips and tricks while performing various urogynaecology surgical procedures: Sacrocolpopexy, Colposuspension, Pubo-vaginal slings, Mid-urethral slings (RP-TVT, TO-TVT), Vaginal: native tissue & biological grafts reconstructive surgery. Teaching methods: Interactive lectures on pelvic anatomy and surgical procedures (+/- 0.5 day). Road Motorway links provide access to major K ci?es. From Carlisle, Newcastle and the south, exit M74 on to the M73, joining the M8 at the Old Monkland junc?on. M8 exits for the niversity are J18 if travelling from the south, Edinburgh and the north and J19 if coming from Glasgow Airport and the west. Car parking on the niversity campus and surrounding area is extremely difficult.
