2014 Camp Card Anthony Wayne Area Council, Boy Scouts of America HOW THE CAMP CARD SALE WORKS: The New 2014 Camp Card is designed to help youth fund their way to 2014 Camp programs This is a Risk Free Unit Sales project where all Scouts can earn their way to Camp, Philmont, other activities or simply support unit program or supplies needs Each Camp Card will sell for only $5.00 to the general public and will have two, one time use, break off tabs, and select up to 10 offers from an online list for food, service, shopping, and entertainment discounts for the customer to use throughout the year The participating unit will keep $2.50, a 50% commission of the sales for each Camp Card sold! With the $5.00 Bob Evans discount, the Camp Card PAYS FOR ITSELF! Commissions from the sales are encouraged to be applied toward directly sending youth to Summer Camp programs, but they may be used as the unit committee sees fit The Value of selling Camp : Participating in the Camp Card allows each Scout to directly fund their way to various Camp programs Program Cost Sales per Youth (in cards) Cub Scout Day/Twilight Camp $50 = 20 per youth to sell Parent & Pal Weekend $75 = 30 per youth to sell Cub Scout/Webelos Resident Camp $150 = 60 per youth to sell Boy Scout Summer Camp $285 = 114 per youth to sell *Note Program costs and sales per youth are not necessarily actual numbers; they are close approximations and do not include any early bird fee discounts.

Dunhan s Sports Save $10.00 off a $50.00 purchase (single use) 2. Bob Evans Restaurant Save $5.00 off a $25.00 purchase (single use) 3. Take Advantage of $100s in Local Savings By Activating Your Digital Savings Benefit (back of card) Each Camp Card purchased entitles supporters to select up to 10 premium discounts of their choice from a custom Boy Scouts website featuring savings from Entertainment. Save up to 50% on the things you do every day in locations where you want to save. Simply print your coupons or redeem offers on your smartphone. Over $100 in additional savings included with your card! How to implement Camp Card sales for your Unit: 1. Determine NOW the Camp programs your youth plan to participate in for 2014 2. Determine the number of active youth in your program that will sell camp cards 3. Set a per youth sales goal (number of Camp he/she should sell) 4. Set an overall unit sales goal 5. Communicate unit needs clearly with each youth and parent a. Explain how the sale of Camp teaches youth the value of earning what they want b. Explain exactly where the unit plans to allocate the revenue generated from the sales (i.e. Individual youth Camp fees, Uniform, Unit Trailer, etc.) 6. Communicate Camp Card calendar clearly with all youth and parents a. Have a Kickoff for your unit b. Have a Turn-In date for money and unsold Camp * The number of camp cards available for each unit to check out are limited; however, your unit may turn in sales at any point and receive additional camp cards throughout the sale. Unit Sales Incentives: Sign-up by March 3rd and settle your account by June 13 th to receive 50% commission throughout the entire sale Sign-up by March 3rd, settle your account by June 13 th and sell a minimum of 400 Camp and be in a drawing for a $200 Scout Shop Gift Card Youth Sales Incentives: Sell 25 Camp and you will be eligible for the weekly drawings for a $25 Scout Shop gift card. For every 25 cards you sell you will be entered in to the drawing. In addition to being entered into the weekly drawings for every 25 Camp you sell, you will be entered into our grand prize drawing for a $200 Scout Shop Gift Card; drawing will be held on June 30 th
