Ÿ Your awning has been shipped to you partially assembled but it is important to follow this instruction manual to securely fasten the mounting brackets to your home and install the awning. Ÿ Please read these instructions completely before installing your Automatic awning. Ÿ You will need an assistant(s) for installation. Ÿ Left and Right references are as you are facing the house. Increasing and Decreasing the Tension Increasing I) To increase the tension, drop the holding tab down to engage the spring pin. ii) Take the awning out of the brackets, lay it on a bench or floor, then wind the spanner clockwise a further 2-3 turns (or as indicated on the chart below if all the tension has gone), then put the awning back into the brackets. AUTOMATIC AWNING ARM INSTALLATION Installation of Automatic Awning Arm Step Five I) Drill & attach lower guide support brackets at the bottom of the guides with screws as shown (screws not provided see page 3). WARNING: The Automatic Awning is designed to close when the strong wind blows against the fabric. This wind pressure releases the tension on the arms which causes the awning to self close. 8

Care and Maintenance Instructions AUTOMATIC AWNING General care and maintenance of your Sunline Automatic Awning WARNING: Ÿ Prior to operating the Sunline Awning, be sure that no objects or persons can come in contact with it as it opens and closes. Keep children away from any moving parts of the awning as it operates. Failure to do so could result in personal injury. Ÿ Never attempt to hang items from any part of the blind, except those accessories that are supplied by the manufacturer. Ÿ Never attempt to repair or disassemble any part of the blind without following replacement part procedures supplied by the manufacturer. Trying to do so without proper instructions could result in personal injury. Ÿ It is normal for the fabric to form waves or wrinkles at the hemmed edges as the blind rolls up. This is because the fabric layer is double along the edges. Ÿ Never use a barbeque grill, any type of patio heater or fireplace near your Sunline awning. Doing so could result in the fabric burning or melting and could result in personal injury. PROTECTING THE FABRIC FROM MILDEW Ÿ If it is necessary to roll the blind up wet, be sure to extend it out to dry when the weather is better. Ÿ While the blind fabric itself won t mildew, mildew can form on the dust and dirt allowed to accumulate on the fabric. Ÿ If the fabric is rolled up and stored when wet, the moisture will promote the formation of mildew. CLEANING THE FABRIC Ÿ DO NOT use caustic cleaners. Ÿ Clean with spraying of luke warm water and a mild soap while gently brushing. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove any soap residue. Thoroughly dry before rolling away. Ÿ Cleaning the awning regularly with mild soap and water will extend the life of the fabric. 9
