3rd Day: continuation Training Jumps, continuation Judges Conference, Competition Jumps commences 4th 10th Day: continuation Competition Jumps 11th Day: continuation Competition Jumps end at 2 pm, Award & Closing Ceremony, Banquet 12th Day: Official departure of Delegations 2.5 Location of the Championships (the location of the Championships might be changed to another site; the final decision will be made prior the CIP-Meeting 2011): Dubai (Capital City of the Emirate of Dubai see also maps, separate files) Approx. 1,77 million inhabitants, it is one of the seven Emirates in the United Arab Emirates and is located south of the Persian Gulf on the Arabian Peninsula. No landowner restrictions for the competition site, land belongs to the state owned company NAKHEEL. Fulltime DZ-facilities; professional rigging service during the championships. The competition site (see file competition site 1 ) was used during the Dubai International Parachuting Championships & Gulf Cup 2010. 2.6 Details of access: Airports (see also maps, separate files): Dubai in the north easterly part of the City Abu Dhabi about 120 km southwest of Dubai (about 1:15h by car) 2.7 Weather conditions: (see separate file) 2.8 Airspace restrictions: Use of airspace above the Competition sites, up to FL 130, 3 NM, will be granted by the Dubai Civil Aviation authorities for the period of pre-training and competition. 5
2.9 Landowner restrictions: No approvals are necessary, the land belongs to the state owned Company NAKHELL 2.10 Insurance: Third party liability ( 1 million) insurance according SC 5 will be covered by an Insurance Company. 2.11 Entry fees per person: (including IPC sanction fee 90 ) Includes accommodation in ***Hotel (double bed), meals from diner arrival day to breakfast departure day, transport from/to airport, local transportation, all social events, competition jumps, including one official training (orientation) jump. 2.13 Aircrafts (see also separate file aircraft support ): Types: Helicopter Bell 212 or fixed wing Pilatus PC-6 Porter, Cessna -Caravan, Twin Otter or comparable aircrafts. ALL types left door, with very similar approximate dimensions of doors. Exit speed: Helicopter 60-80 kts, Fixed wing 70 90 kts Each aircraft: 3 4 loads per hour 2.14 Pre-event training: Training will be possible three days prior the start of the championships from aircrafts which are used during the championships. Cost for one jump per person: Style: 18.- Accuracy: 10.- Formation Skydiving: 18.- Canopy Formation: 15.- Artistic Events: 18.- Canopy Piloting 13.- 2.15 Accommodation: For all Competitors, Officials and accompanying persons *** Hotels in close vicinity of the competition site. Additional days before and after the official arrival/departure days have to be paid separately: 60,- person/night (incl. breakfast) in double bedroom. A limited number of single bedrooms is available at 80,- person/night (incl. breakfast). 2.16 Transportation: Transportation from & to the airport on arrival and departure, local transportation during the championships will be granted without additional cost. 7
2.17 Media plan: Through past parachuting championships good and close relationship to national and regional media stations. Cooperation with IPC Media Liaison Officer is granted and appreciated. 2.18 Accommodation details for Officials: see 2. 11 & 2.15 2.19 Details judging equipment: For Style and Accuracy: Weckbecker Systems. For Formation Skydiving, Canopy Formation, Artistic and Canopy Piloting: not yet decided; several options available (CamScore Scoring System, French System, OmniSkore-system, Intime South Africa), based on recommendation of the IPC-Judges-Commission. 2.20 Public address system: A public address system and big screens will be available for the Teams and for general public. 2.21-2.22: Opening & Closing ceremonies and Social Events are planned; details later. 2.23 Accompanying persons: see 2.11 & 2.15 2.24 Proposals for Event Officials: Meet Director: Assistant Chief-Judge: Mr. Mohammed Yousuf Abdul Rahman, President Parachuting Division of EAA will be nominated later.
