Most European countries have a list of compulsy equipment that you must take with you. F example, there is a new legal requirement in France to carry a breathalyser in your car. Then follow the A26 to Troyes follow on to A5 Langres, A31 to Beaune, A6 to Lyons, A7 to Orange and A9 through to Remoulins. Leave motway A9 Remoulins and follow signs f Beaucaire and continue to town centre. On descending a straight wide road (Boulevard Marechal Foch) go straight over roundabout and straight on over bridge. Continue straight ahead through the traffic lights. Take the next road to the right, pass Baccardi/Martini facty and follow this road to the Connoisseur base (signposted). F customers arriving late, the drop off point is by locked fence on the quayside. From this point there is a very sht walk to access the boats. Road distance approximately 1020 kms 9 hrs.
Directions from Paris: Take the A6 to Lyons, then A7 to Orange and then A9 through to Remoulins. Leave Autoute A9 at Remoulins and follow signs f Beaucaire and continue to town centre. On descending a straight wide road (Boulevard Marechal Foch) go straight over roundabout and straight on over bridge. Continue straight ahead through the traffic lights. Car Transfers (f oneway cruises) If you are doing a one-way cruise (i.e. returning your boat to a different base), we can transfer your car from your departure base to your end base. Our staff are insured to drive your vehicle on your behalf, with the exception of rental vehicles. Car transfers are bookable in advance. External locked compound - $60 per week Garage - $85 per week Although free on-road parking is available in Beaucaire, we would highly recommend that you pay f secure parking due to high level of car crime in this area. YOUR ARRIVAL BASE OPENING HOURS Monday Thursday: 09:00-20:30 Friday: 09:00-21:00 Saturday - Sunday: 09:00-20:30 WHEN TO ARRIVE: Your boat will be ready to depart f 16:00-17:30. We recommend that you arrive 60 minutes earlier f check-in and instructions. If you have booked an Early Check-in Service, please arrive at the base ready to depart between 11am and 12pm from 2pm. LATE ARRIVALS: If you are going to be arriving at the base late, you will need to infm the base directly. When you arrive at the base there will be a note on the reception do infming you where your boat is. The boat will be left open with the lights on f you to stay on board that night. The base staff will do the full briefing the following mning. UPON ARRIVAL: Our base staff look fward to welcoming you to their cruising region and aim to make your arrival and holiday as smooth and enjoyable as possible. When you arrive our base staff will: Take a fuel deposit to cover the fuel you use during your holiday. Any extra fuel used will be charged on your return we will refund the difference f fuel you have not used. Take a refundable collision damage deposit if you have not purchased collision damage waiver. This will be refunded if you return your boat and its inventy undamaged at the end of your holiday
Familiarise you with your waterways guide, maps and other helpful documentation provided to help you plan where you want to go and where you d like to stop. Brief you about your boat, the equipment on board, and the cruising area (places to visit, etc). Give you a boat handling demonstration on the water with one of our technicians.
