Upon arrival I made contact with Kevin Watts who stated he fell asleep behind the wheel and struck a sign. Mr. Watts did not sustain any injuries and his vehicle was towed from the scene. 02/05/17 09:20 N EAST OF ZZ, CREIGHTON On Sunday 02-05-2017 at approximately 0935 hours I responded to N-Highway east of ZZ to assist MSHP that was on the scene of a MVA. The driver of one of the vehicles fled the scene on foot. The driver was located approximately one mile east of the scene. MSHP took custody of the driver. My investigation revealed that an assault had occurred but the victims did not wish to pursue charges. 02/05/17 13:43 29607 SYCAMORE GROVE RD, GARDEN CITY On 02/05/2017 at 1347 hours, I was dispatched to 29607 S. Sycamore Grove Rd. outside of Garden City to the report of a violation of an order of protection. Upon arrival, Donald Dryden was arrested on active Cass County warrant 16CA-CR01069 for FTA Trespass 1st Degree. A bond of $4,000.00 10% cash allowed was set and a court date of 02/21/2017 at 0900 hours was given. 02/05/17 21:02 NB49/307TH ST, GARDEN CITY On February 5, 2017 at about 2102 hours, I stopped a red 2014 Ford Focus traveling northbound on US Interstate 49 for speeding 86 mph in a 70 mph zone. Upon contacting the driver he was placed under arrest for driving while suspended, speeding, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. The driver also had two Lee's Summit Warrant for his arrest. 02/05/17 23:27 2/LAKE ANNETTE RD, FREEMAN On February 5, 2017, at approximately 2327 hours, I conducted a vehicle stop on a white in color passenger car at 2 Highway and Lake Annette Road for speeding. A probable cause search of the car revealed marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The driver was issued summons and released.
