About ISSS International Summer School Sarajevo by School of Economics and Business Sarajevo is organized in accordance with the principles set below: Courses within ISSS are carried out in accordance with rules given in courses syllabi, the same way the courses during the regular semester within the academic year run. Planned duration of the ISSS is 5 weeks, with 75% of total hours fund and condensed way of performing all forms of teaching process. All forms of knowledge testing specified by the syllabi including the final exam are performed within the ISSS. No additional (correctional) exam terms after the final exams are given. Students can take up to two (2) courses. Same rules and regulations as in regular academic year are in force during the ISSS. In-class week implies classes (lectures and tutorials) being held in SEBS classrooms as well as direct, face-to-face communication with the teaching staff. On-line week implies different way of teaching supported by courseware and Moodle platform. No classes are held in regular form in classrooms e.g. no lectures or tutorials are held. Teaching staff upload all materials that should be acquired by students, on courseware.
ISSS Courses Applying & Attending Until 01.07. prospective students should send completed Application Forms on SEBS Students Admission Office e-mail address: studentska.sluzba@efsa.unsa.ba Every student can take up max. up to 2 courses from the offered list of courses. In order to launch the course minimum of 30 prospective students is required. In accordance with the number of students who applied for the particular course, Final list of courses will be formed. Final list of courses will be published by 09.07. on SEBS Students Admission Office and International Office web addresses: www.efsa.unsa.ba/so/ www.efsa.unsa.ba/international/ BHS languages three oficial languages spoken in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian. Students can change the course they initially applied for in case that their first choice course is not organized due to the insufficient number of applicants (less than 30 students).
About SEBS The School of Economics and Business in Sarajevo (SEBS), established in 1952, is the largest educational institution in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a leading institution in the BH higher education system in the creation and dissemination of knowledge in the fields of economics and business administration. SEBS was the first in Bosnia and Herzegovina to adopt and implement a curriculum based on the European Credits Transfer System ECTS (2001/2002) and 3+2+3 concept of study (2005). Experience Sarajevo! Sarajevo is the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it s largest urban, cultural, economical and political center and center of Canton Sarajevo that is (according to estimates) home to 429,672 people. Sarajevo is relatively small city in comparison with other metropolis of the world, but at the same time much more famous than most of them due to Sarajevo s captivating history and fascinating spiritual, multicultural and multinational reality of today. Miljacka River passes through Sarajevo and several famous bridges span it, including the Latin Bridge close to which the infamous assassination of Franz Ferdinand, Archduke of Austria by Gavrilo Princip was performed.
