Regional cooperation and networking in the field of agriculture, rural and economic development of cross-border areas "People to People" actions in "Prespa" cross-border region.

First Call for People to People Actions in the cross-border region Prespa In total 11 applications were received in the cross-border region Prespa. The evaluation committee held on February 20th, 2018, reviewed and evaluated all of the applications according to the scoring list and protocol. 8 applications will be supported for further implementation of regional People to People activities in Prespa cross-border region - Nettle - Small gastronomy school - Agribusiness, a new challenge for youth in the region - Tour de Galicica 2018 - Vine and cheese days - Meet Prespa - Macedonian cultural summer 2018 - Sports and culture - Rurality becomes a value within the manifestation "Prespa Apple Harvest"

Nettle - Small gastronomy school Applicant: Organization for Rural Tourism Ecology and Tradition - O.R.T.E.T Time-Frame: 02 June -03 June, 2018 Description: The project presented a 2 days manifestation with guests from Ohrid and Pogradec who had the chance to taste traditional homemade foods and drinks with recipes based on Nettle herb. In the manifestation the guests also had the chance to promote touristic activities and local products as well as enjoyed traditional culture and music

Tour de Galicica 2018 Applicant: Municipality Resen Time-Frame: 16-17 June, 2018 Description: The event organizer is Bike Mountain Club Prespa Bike. The aim of the event is to promote the nature and touristic opportunities of the Prespa region in function of local and regional development. The tour is 71 km long, on the Galicica mountain slopes, with 35 km off road trail

Macedonian cultural summer 2018 Applicant: Association SONCE Time-Frame: 22 July - 02 August, 2018 Description: Macedonian Cultural Summer is a culture manifestation held for more than 10 years in Prespa, Albania, and it s a festival whose aim is to promote and support the local culture, language and tradition with it s cultural content will support the development of tourism and the economy at the local level.

Wine and cheese days Applicant: Municipality Ohrid Time-Frame: 10-11 August, 2018 Description: A festival of Wine and Cheese and Organic Honey from local producers mainly from the rural regions of Prespa. They will bring their products and present them directly in the market and the guests will have the opportunity to taste local products and socialize and network while at the same time promote touristic attractions and local food.

Rurality becomes a value within the manifestation "Prespa Apple Harvest" - Prespa Applicant: ZRR Local Action Group AGRO LEADER Time-Frame: 26-27 September, 2018 Description: 2 days event within the traditional Apple Picking Days of Prespa: Day one, open day, Apple Picking Prespa - dedicated to presenting natural products and agriculture mechanisms. Day two will be realized by visiting national and historical places in the Prespa region.

Meet Prespa Applicant: Association of apple producers Blagoj A. Kotlarovski - Focus group Rural women from Prespa Time-Frame: 31 August 02 September, 2018 Description: The aim of this workshop is to create collaboration between organizations of Agritourism and tourism in Prespa. It is expected the presence of Managers or owners of hostels, hotels and villas. In the workshop they will have the ability to learn how to describe their business and attract investors. Touristic points in Prespa will be visited.
