March Reminders: A Birthday Party Contract must be turned in following party approval. Birthday Parties are not considered booked until the 50% deposit has been paid. Final payment must be paid in full at least (7) business days prior to the party date. A final guest count is required with final payment (7) business days prior to the party date. You are able to bring in your own birthday cake or cupcakes for your party. Birthday parties are rain or shine. The Zoo does not have a secure place to store your gifts. Please collect them and store them in your vehicle. Restrictions: No outside food or beverage when renting the Rendezoo Room. Balloons, confetti, grills, pets of any kind, smoking, alcoholic beverages, straws, Styrofoam products, frisbees, skate shoes or balls are not allowed in the Zoo. No open flames are allowed in the Zoo.

Zoo-It-Yourself parties offer the convenience and flexibility of booking your birthday party at any time. Zoo-It-Yourself can be done any day the Zoo is open & any time! Frequently Asked Questions Parking: There is no charge to park in the Zoo parking lots. Some limited street parking is allowed on Sunnyside Avenue. Note: Availability and parking in close proximity cannot be guaranteed and the Zoo is not responsible for any damage that may occur to your vehicle. Admission Tickets: Final ticket counts are due no later than (7) days prior to the event. If additional tickets are needed, host or guests are responsible for late admission at the gate. Regular season pricing will apply. Admission tickets are non-refundable. Ticketed Rides: Included in package price are train OR carousel tickets for the 15 guests; you can choose to add more on. Decisions regarding specific rides need to be made no later than (7) days prior to the event. Tickets for rides are refundable if returned to Guest Services window or Group Sales Coordinator no later that (3) days following an event. *In inclement weather, the train will not run for the safety of guests. Inclement Weather Policy: The Zoo is open every day of the year, except Christmas Day and New Year s Day, regardless of the weather. Due to high demand for reserved space at Utah s Hogle Zoo, we are unable to schedule advance inclement weather reservations. In the event of inclement weather, tickets issued to you can still be redeemed at the Zoo admissions gate on the day of your event. These tickets will be billed to your designated organization according to the original contract. Menus & Guarantee: Your final menu selection must be received (14) days prior to your event. Your minimum guaranteed attendance must be received (7) business days prior to your event. If attendance falls below the guaranteed number, the group will be charged for the guaranteed number on all food and beverage. If count increases less than 72 hours before the event date you may incur a cost of $7 additional per meal. *Please see full catering menu for additional options. *Some food items may not be available due to the location of the venue. *Onsite catering must be used for indoor spaces. Decorations: Glass, balloons, straws, stickers, confetti, Frisbees, and anything else that can harm or injure the animals or other guests are strictly prohibited anywhere on Zoo grounds. Deposit: 50% is due upon signing the contract and the remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the event. Event Spaces Offered: Summer Parties will be hosted in the Creekside Canopy area - if you choose to upgrade and move to the Rendezoo Room (if available) there will be an additional charge of $100 for the indoor space. Cold weather months (October, November & April) guest must occupy the Rendezoo Room (price will automatically increase the $100). During the months December - March there is limited indoor space so no birthday parties will be offered unless exceptions are made - please call for additional details.
