PAGE 2 Rick & Jodi - Founders Founders Corner By Rick & Jodi I like to talk a li le about our Annual Picnic. Last year we changed loca ons due to the cost increase of the Santa Susana park and shortened hours. Last year we had our picnic at Oak Park on the boarder of Simi Valley and Moorpark. This park was a hit. We had all the privacy we needed and a nice big parking lot to have our famous slow race. We even had running water and a big BBQ to cook our food. Beau ful grass area and all the picnic tables we wanted. The water balloon toss was a lot of fun too! This year we want to see if we could do something a li le different with the food. Lets talk about it and see what we can come up with. Jodi and I were thinking about having a Taco Truck with all you can eat authen c Mexican food. They will supply all the napkins, plates and utensils which will make it easier for us on set up and clean up! We s ll have me s ll to decide what we will do. Susie was so kind to make the park reserva ons for us for Sunday September 16th, we have the whole day, thank you Susie! We had a blast last year and I can t wait to do it all over again! Congratula ons Dwight! With Mike s wedding right around the corner, Every li le bit helps. Congrats Mike! Betcha didn't know The largest motorcycle fuel tank is made by Enduro Manufacture. What s the fuel capacity? A) 14.6 B) 11.5 C) 13.2 Answer: c) 13.2 gallons Boccali s Pizza & Pasta By Rick If you have been riding for awhile then you must have past this Italian restaurant on the way to Ojai called Boccali s. They re famous for their strawberry shortcake! Can you say huge? They must use an en re can of whipped cream. They re also know for growing all their own fruits and vegetables right in back of the restaurant! I recommend the lasagna for you pasta lovers. It s nice to sit outside and enjoy the beau- ful weather while watching all the motorcycles ride by. We will be taking the scenic highway 150 among other back roads along the way. It s a beau ful ride and it s going to be a gorgeous day. Ride hard, but safe my friends! fish Hatchery Last Month s Rides Bootleggers Our first ride was suppose to go to Solvang but mother nature had the last word for our ride that day. Yes, we got rained out but we will reschedule this ride for another day. Our second ride was to a cool and relaxing biker stop along Bouquet Canyon called Big Oaks. This place has some pre y good pizza where you can sit outside on the pa o and watch all the bikes go by but, yes you guessed it, this ride was also rained out. Who would of thought that we would have two rides in a row that was rained out. Hopefully Mother Nature will be a li le nicer to us. Our third ride was on St. Patrick s Day a er our General Mee ng to a favorite Iris Pub called Lucky Fool s. From what I understand they had music and dancing and green beer! Everyone seemed to have a great me. Wish I were there to enjoy the fes vi es. This was the perfect place to go on Saint Patrick's Day. Our fourth ride went to Bakersfield to a BBQ place called Bootleggers. We took the back roads were the mountains and country roads were all green from the rain we had the week before. This was a beau ful ride which ended up to a place that everyone raved about how good the food was. Bootleggers will be scheduled again. Thank you to Cheryl for finding this place. Remember, Ride Hard but safe!
