42 VDIA - Van Don International Airport 43 About Vietnam Airlines: VIETNAM AIRLINES to extend network to Quang Ninh for its numerous exotic tourist destinations As part of a strategic cooperation agreement signed on January 22, 2018 in Ha Long City between Vietnam Airlines and the authorities of Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam Airlines will extend and bolster its route network to and from Van Don International Airport (Quang Ninh) as early as 2018. Quang Ninh is a key domestic and international tourist attraction thanks to its World Natural Heritage of Ha Long Bay. This strategic cooperation agreement between Vietnam Airlines and Quang Ninh covers the comprehensive implementation of measures to promote tourism and develop international trade in Quang Ninh. Quang Ninh authorities will offer special support for the newly launched routes to Van Don International Airport during their first phase of operations, while working to promote Quang Ninh in key markets in Europe, Australia and Northeast Asia. Vietnam Airlines is committed to extending its route network to and from Van Don International Airport and will cooperate to support promotions of toursim destinations in Quang Ninh.
