(Church) 29000 Northwestern (Commercial Fitness Center & Racquet Club) Attempt Only on window south side of building near office. No signs of forced entry. Key was used or victim didn t lock the locker. Reporting party from church advised that sometime between 04/14/2015 2:00pm- 04/16/2015 2:00pm someone attempted to gain entry into church office by removing molding around window. An unknown witness observed a B/M by the window. He was picked up by unknown person(s) in unknown vehicle. No further description or information. Victim stated he secured his personal belongings in a gym locker at 7:40am and believes he locked it before starting his workout routine. Victim returned to his locker at approximately 9:15am and used the key to enter his locker and found it empty of all his personal belongings. Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 04/15/2015 12:18pm 04/16/2015 6:57am 22000 Woodwill St. Front door had been forced open. 21000 Berg Rd Window was broken out on porch window. Officers were dispatched to residence on an alarm. (12:18pm) Upon arrival at the residence Officers discovered that the front door had been forced open. A Southfield Police K-9 and other Officers checked the interior of the residence and the surrounding area. No suspects were located. While checking the outside of the residence costume jewelry was observed leading from front door to the driveway. Several areas of the residence were ransacked. Homeowner advises items are missing from the residence. Victim states she was awakened between 5:00am- 6:00am by her dog barking. Victim didn t think anything of it and went back to bed. When victim woke up around 7:00am she discovered the northwest porch window was broken out. 04/19/2015 12:20pm 17000 Magnolia Pkwy. Front door was forced open. Officers were dispatched to residence reference a B&E alarm, foyer motion was the indicator. (12:20pm) Upon arrival Officers discovered that the front door had been kicked/forced open doing severe damage to the front door. An interior search revealed no suspects. Victim arrived home after the alarm company notified her of the Home Invasion. Victim is unsure if anything is missing from the residence. 04/19/2015 10:16pm 16000 Catalpa Dr. The front door panel had been kicked out which allowed the suspect(s) to reach in and unlock the door. After returning to the vehicle the following morning at 7:27am victim discovered his vehicle had been stolen. Victim advises she parked vehicle in the south lot of complex at 9:00am. When she returned to the vehicle at 12:30pm she discovered the vehicle had been taken. Note: Victim advises the vehicle was locked, however the windows may have been partially down and she left the keys to her vehicle, house and office on top of the center console. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens should never leave the keys to their vehicle inside the vehicle especially on top of the center console where they can easily be seen. 04/16/2015 5:02pm 20000 Oldham Ct. (Apartments) Status R Recovered Stolen Manufacturer FORD Model F150 Color RED - Red State MI Description PICKUP Officer was flagged down by a citizen in reference to an unoccupied suspicious vehicle. A check on the status of vehicle revealed it had been reported stolen out of Detroit on 06/18/2014. The reporting party stated the vehicle had been sitting in the same location for approximately 1 year. No damage/ignition intact. Status S - Stolen Manufacturer DEWALT Description GRINDER Recovered at Pawn Shop. Victim stated a Grinder (tool) was stolen out of the back of his Pick Up Truck on Monday April 13, 2015 sometime between 3:00pm- 4:00pm. It was later discovered that the Grinder had been pawned off at a Pawn Shop in a neighboring community at 4:30pm the same day. The victim went to the pawn shop and confirmed the Grinder was his through the Serial #. From: 04/13/2015 5:30pm To: 04/13/2015 9:00pm 23000 W Nine Mile Rd. Status S - Stolen Manufacturer STATE OF MICHIGAN Description LICENSE PLATE WAS TAKEN FROM 2011 DODGE AVENGER. Victim states the license plate was stolen off of her vehicle on Monday April 13, 2015 sometime between 5:30pm- 9:00pm. 04/14/2015 11:48am 24000 Lasher Rd. (High School) (Staff Parking Lot) Navigation System was taken from GMC Traverse. On Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at approx. 11:50am Southfield Officer while patrolling the school campus observed a GMC Traverse with a shattered driver s side window. The navigation system had been removed from the vehicle. Officer reviewed surveillance video and observed two vehicles that are believed to be involved in incident. At 10:43am a Light Blue Ford Fiesta parks near victim s vehicle. At 11:19am the Lt. Blue Ford Fiesta pulls out of parking spot and a Black Dodge Avenger takes its place. It appears that the Ford Fiesta acts as a look out as window is broken out of victim s vehicle. The Dodge Avenger is then seen leaving the lot. No further information at this time.

04/14/2015 7:26am 29000 Evergreen Rd. (Condo s) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2013 Ford Edge. A citizen reported that vehicle had its Wheels & Tires taken. Vehicle was on landscaping blocks and its right rear window had been smashed out. The owner of vehicle couldn t be located at this time. From: 04/16/2015 7:45am To: 04/16/2015 11:00am 04/16/2015 11:46am 16000 Lincoln Rd. ( Middle School) 16000 W Lincoln Dr. (Middle School) Navigation System was taken from 2015 GMC Acadia. Navigation System was taken from 2013 Chevy Traverse. Victim stated she parked her 2015 GMC Acadia in the south parking lot of the school at approx. 7:45am on 04/16/2015. She was notified by the school office at 11:00am that the driver s door window of her vehicle had been broken out. Victim went outside to her vehicle and discovered the driver's window was broken out and the In- Dash Navigation System had been stolen. Victim stated she parked her 2013 Chevy Traverse in the south parking lot of the school at approx. 7:45am on 04/16/2015. She was notified by the school office at 11:00am that the front passenger window of her vehicle had been broken out. Victim went outside to her vehicle and the front passenger window was broken and the In- Dash Navigation System had been stolen.

From: 04/18/2015 3:45am To: 04/18/2015 8:50am 27000 Northwestern (Hotel) Navigation/ Stereo System were taken from 2012 GMC Denali. Victim states that the vehicle was parked and locked at 3:45am in the S/E area of the parking lot at the Hotel facing Northwestern Hwy. (underneath a working light pole) Soon thereafter victim reportedly observed an unknown female running through the parking lot from the area of his vehicle and enter the hotel. Victim also observed an unknown Pontiac Sedan following the unknown female. This did not raise suspicions with the victim at the time. At 8:50am the following morning victim returned to his vehicle and discovered his passenger window broken out and his In-Dash Stereo Navigation System missing. 04/19/2015 1:58pm 19000 W Ten Mile Rd. (Church) Radio was taken from 2013 Chrysler 200. Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked Victim stated the radio was stolen out of the his vehicle on Sunday April 19, 2015 sometime between 11:30am & 1:15pm. Entry was gained by breaking out the rear passenger door window.

Mark Malott Neighborhood Watch Coordinator Southfield Police Department 26000 Evergreen Road Southfield MI 48076 248-796-5415 mmalott@cityofsouthfield.com Arrests by SPD Officers: Parole Violation/ Possession of Firearm/ Possession of Firearm with Altered Serial # - 1- Arrest 04/14/2015 5:27pm 27000 Block of Fairfax St. Southfield Police Detectives and Agents from Michigan Department of Corrections located a parolee in Possession of a Firearm. The firearm also had its serial # altered. The parolee was arrested for Parole Violation/ Possession of Firearm/ Possession of Firearm with Altered Serial #. NOLOP/ Resisting/ Obstruct P.O. 04/14/2015 4:06pm Eight Mile Rd & Evergreen Rd Officers observed vehicle commit several traffic violations. Officers followed vehicle and stopped it on a residential street in Detroit. The driver of the vehicle exited the vehicle and was ordered back to the vehicle. Driver complied and returned to his vehicle. Officers requested ID in which the driver was unable to provide. The driver s father then approached the traffic stop and had to be advised multiple times to get back. The driver was given the opportunity to look for his identification in his jacket. The driver then indicated after not being able to find his ID that he didn t have it. When he was unable to provide ID he was advised that he was going to be placed under arrest for NOLOP. The driver was advised to exit the vehicle several times and that he was under arrest. The driver was also advised that if he did not get out of his car he was going to be charged with Obstruction. The driver failed to comply with Officers orders and when Officers attempted to remove subject from his vehicle he resisted them.

Special Attention: LFA s Middle School 04/16/2015 16000 Lincoln Between 7:45am- 11:00am. 2- LFA s - Windows were broken out and Navigation Systems were taken. Both victims stated they parked their vehicles in the south parking lot at Middle School at 7:45am. Someone from the school reported the windows being broken out on vehicles at approx. 11:00am. 2- vehicles attacked: 2015 GMC Acadia 2013 Chevy Traverse It wasn t until Officers pulled out their Tasers and ordered subject out of car and to the ground that he complied. Officers searched the suspect vehicle and located a wallet and ID belonging to the driver. The driver was found to have a valid license but had two Detroit Traffic Warrants. Driver was arrested for NOLOP and Resisting & Obstructing P.O. Note: During this incident several residents, subjects started to gather around the area where Officers were conducting their investigation in somewhat of a threatening manner. Additional Officers responded and assisted Officers in completing their Investigation. Officers cleared the scene w/o further incident. Domestic Aggravated Assault- 1- Arrest 04/16/2015 11:10pm 29000 Everett St. Several Officers were dispatched to Domestic situation at residence. Officer s investigation revealed that a Felonious Assault with a Knife occurred when a 39 year old female attacked a 16 year female with a knife and made threats to kill her. The 39 year old female was arrested for Felonious Assault.

Possession of Heroin- 1- Arrest 04/19/2015 8:22am 30000 Southfield Rd. (Pharmacy) Officers were dispatched to business in the 30000 Block of Southfield Rd on a reported slumped subject parked in front of the business. Officers located vehicle and subject. Subject was passed out and there was a syringe with suspected Heroin lying in plain view on subject. After awakening the suspect she made admissions that she had relapsed and injected herself with Heroin. Suspect was arrested for Possession of Heroin and Narcotics Paraphernalia. Resisting & Obstructing 1- Arrest 04/18/2015 10:05pm 20000 Block of Norwood Dr. N. Officers responded to disturbance investigation at residence. Upon arrival Officers located a White SUV (running and in park) at the residence. There was a B/M in the driver s seat who was later identified. At the conclusion of Officers investigation, the owner of the property wanted subject to leave and to be advised on trespassing. When Officers attempted to identify subject and advise him on trespassing he became disorderly and refused to give Officers his identification. The incident escalated to the point that the subject was eventually taken into custody for Resisting & Obstructing.

OWI- 1-Arrest 8 Mile Rd / Evergreen Rd. Officer s stopped a vehicle for travelling above the posted speed limit and weaving on the roadway. The driver was investigated for OWI and subsequently was arrested. The driver had numerous past convictions for alcohol related incidents. OWI- 1- Arrest Northwestern / Beck Rd. Officer observed a vehicle driving erratically and stopped it to investigate. After a complete OWI investigation was conducted the driver was arrested and lodged. OWI- 1- Arrest Northwestern / Evergreen Rd. Officer observed a vehicle driving erratically and stopped it. After investigating the driver for OWI the driver was arrested. OWI- 1- Arrest 8 Mile Rd. / Evergreen Rd. Officer observed a vehicle driving erratically. The vehicle was stopped and investigated for OWI. After the investigation was completed the driver was arrested and lodged.

OWI- 1- Arrest Telegraph Rd. / I-696 Officer observed a vehicle driving without its headlights on and stopped it to investigate. Upon completion of the investigation the driver was arrested for OWI and lodged. OWI- 1- Arrest Evergreen Rd. / 11 Mile Rd. Traffic Safety Officers were sent to check on a possible OWI driver. The vehicle was found and stopped. Officers investigated the driver for OWI and after the investigation was completed the driver was arrested for OWI and lodged. OWI- 1- Arrest M-10 / Telegraph Rd. Officer observed a vehicle driving erratically and observed it for a period of time. After observing several traffic violations and OWI indicators the vehicle was stopped and investigated. Upon completion of the investigation the driver was arrested for OWI and lodged. OWI- 1- Arrest M-10 / Mt. Vernon Officer observed a vehicle travelling on S/B M-10. The vehicle had front end accident damage and the operator was driving on two flat tires. Officer initiated a stop and made contact with the driver. An OWI investigation was conducted and the driver was arrested and lodged for OWI.
