History and evolution of Roc Hotels Roc Hotels dedicates itself to the management and operation of hotel resorts starting from its foundation in 1997 by the controlling shareholder of the company Mr. Miguel Miralles. Before Roc Hotels foundation three hotel resorts, property of ROC HOTELS INVERSIONES S.A., also majority-owned by Mr. Miguel Miralles, were managed independently. The Hotel group at that time included: - Illetas Beach Club (1981) - Las Rocas Apartments (1987) - Portonova Apartments (1996) In the first period the fundamental objective of Roc Hotels was the unification of the management criteria of the hotels.
History and evolution of Roc Hotels In 2000, with the acquisition of Roc Hotel Flamingo in Torremolinos, an expansion rising from a turnover of 5.37 million euros in revenues in 1999 to 53.48 million euros in 2014 began. For the year 2015 the budgeted figure reaches 57.22 million euros. In the first 6 years of expansion Roc Hotels grows exclusively by purchasing real estate. In 2006 the strategy of the Company changes and it shifts to growing the Hotel Group by management contracts, leasing and mixed type of contracts.
History and evolution of Roc Hotels The administration of Roc Hotels is formed by tourism professionals, including the President and company founder Mr. Miguel Miralles Bauza and his son, Mr. Guillermo Miralles Linde, current Vice President and Head of Expansion of the company. The Board is managed by four directors of the following areas:.commercial Department (Reservations and Online Sales). Exploitation and Central Purchasing. Economical and Financial Department. Caribbean Department The current strategic plan specifies that Roc Hotels should grow the number of hotels from 14 hotels under management in 2012 to 22 hotels and 5 250 rooms in 2017.
History and evolution of Roc Hotels The supporting structure of the central office of Roc Hotels is a complex which includes the Reservation area (reservations and sales online), Financial areas (administration and accounting) and Hotel Management area (procurement and human resources). It is ready to undertake more units and higher volume of sales with only minor adjustments of non-critical positions. The economies of scale of this institution are high, so Roc Hotels is interested in incorporating new products in Spain, Europe and Latin America

3. Roc Hotels Strategic Plan: In 2007 the strategic plan developed by Guillermo Miralles was approved by the Board of Roc Hotels. The principal aspects outlined in this plan are: RAISON D'ETRE: Management of holiday resorts and city hotels in prime locations and with a strong tourism potential, offering excellent value to our customers that consolidates us as a hotel chain and allows us to improve our margins. VISION (the future we want to create): Offer competitive holiday accommodation services, implementing management systems oriented to the satisfaction of our internal and external customers and allowing us to manage effectively and efficiently the expansion of ROC HOTELS.
