Given the excellent connectivity through the National Highway and dedicated Airport Metro station, the Aerocity has already attracted world class real estate developers and tenants. In the first phase, DIAL has successfully monetized 45 acres as Hospitality District comprising approximately 5 million sq. ft. of hotel space and approximately 1.1 million sq. ft. of office & retail space. Out of the 11 hotels coming up, 5 hotels - the JW Marriott, Holiday Inn Lemon Tree Premier, Red Fox, & IBIS have become operational. The entire development would add over 4000 hotel rooms in Delhi. DIAL is also undertaking one of the largest beautification projects in and around the Hospitality District with the aim to decorate the open areas, metro plaza, common areas, green-belts, access roads, etc. Subsequently, a comprehensive plan to monetize the remaining acreage (185 acres) over the next 12 years in four phases, with a focus on retail, commercial and hospitality is being developed which will significantly enhance the airport user experience.
