Group of 3 people or more, notify us your preferred dates. *Price per person based on a private group of 5 people. DESCRIPTION Between the Pacific Ocean and the Andes, the active volcanoes of southern Chile make up part of the famous "Ring of Fire". Ten volcanoes can easily be skied from their summits in an area covering 500 km of the spectacular Araucania and Great Lakes regions. At the foot of the volcanoes and in the middle of the spectacular monkey puzzle forests, lie several small ski resorts giving easy and rapid access to the snow. From these resorts, climbing about 1300mts per day, we can summit 5 or 6 of these volcanoes depending on weather conditions and how keen the group is. Good quality spring snow covers the slopes and there may even be some powder depending on conditions. Volcano skiing is characterised by steep slopes near the summit, gradually flattening out as they reach the base. The conical shape of the volcano allows an optimal descent following the sun around for unmissable snow conditions.
