II. Upgrade Award Rules Upgrade Award : A facility that can be claimed by redeeming Award Miles for a flight class upgrade from an Economy class to an Executive class, which can be used by the respective GarudaMiles member or given to another person. Upgrading by using GA mileage 1. Requirements Purchase an Economy class ticket or Executive Class for your desired destination and departure date. Make sure that you have enough Award Miles in your account for upgrade from Economy Class to an Executive class or from Executive Class to First Class on your intended flight. Contact Garuda Indonesia Call Center on +62 21 23519999 or 0 804 1 807 807 (from Indonesia) or Garuda Indonesia Sales Office to reserve your flight. Complete the Award Upgrade Order Form available at garudamiles.com or at any Garuda Indonesia Sales Office. Submit the completed form, along with the original Economy class ticket, your GarudaMiles membership card and a copy of your ID (KTP, passport or other photos ID) to Garuda Indonesia Sales Office. You can pick up the Upgrade Award ticket at the Garuda Indonesia Sales Office where you submitted your application. If you cannot come personally, the person representing you must be provided with a power of attorney (original) along with document required above & also copy of his/her ID. 2. Upgrading applicable for paying ticket in Y/B/M/K/N class to O class using GA mileage. Upgrading applicable for paying ticket in J/C class to R class using GA mileage. Flight Classes other than mentioned above must be changed into eligible flight classes with additional charges based on ticket regulation. Upgrade Award is not applicable for upgrading Economy Class to First Class. Upgrade Award is applicable to up 1 class of service above. From Economy Class to Executive Class & from Executive Class to First Class. Upgrading with change date/flight, passenger will be imposed with rebooking fee (if any). No value ticket/free ticket (example free ticket from buy one get one free ticket) not permitted to upgrade. The changes must be made in same PNR. Example : Passenger holds ticket route SYD-DPS-SYD. Upgrade to business using mileage with change date/flight.
