1 hour Hotel Welcome by our driver at the airport. Transfer to your hotel, installation and rest. Meeting at your hotel with your guide, the photographer and the Worldway staff for lunchtime, where you will have lunch in the restaurant of your choice. Let us dive into the heart of Mongolian history, the superb museum of national history. Three floors of a rich and glorious past, violent and noble, from prehistory to the Soviet period, of course by the creation of the great Mongol empire by Genghis Khan. Stroll in the city center of Ulaanbaatar. Discovery of the central square Genghis Khan and the Parliament. At 6 pm, traditional Mongolian show at the Tumen Ekh: folk dances, contortion and of course khoomi, diphonic singing. 4h30 Tipi Visit of the monastery of Gandantegchinlen. The monks gather at the monastery to pray in the morning and will be able to answer your questions at the Buddhist Center of Mongolia. Arrival at the splendid rock formations of Khogno Khan. Discovery of the park: semi-desert steppes, taiga, impressive rock formations, sand fracture 80 km long characterize this arid region called the "mini Gobi". Horseback riding to the monastery of Erdene Khambiin. The "Monastery of the Monk Erdene" dates from the 17th century and was built in the mountain by Zanabazar, in honor of his teacher, the monk Erdene. Visit the sand dunes of Elsen Tasarkhai.

5h Yourte Drive to Karakorum, the ancient capital of the Mongols. The legendary city of Genghis Khan was founded in 1220 and was one of the stages of the Silk Road. It was from this city that the Mongol Empire was ruled until Kubilai Khan settled the capital in Beijing. Today, there are only a few remains of the capital. Visit of the magnificent monastery of Erdene Zuu, built in 1586 by a nomad prince. The buildings, inspired by Chinese and Tibetan, are surrounded by 108 sacred stupas. Visit of the Karakorum Museum. Route to the Orkhon Valley. Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the valley is a land of nomadism and many pastoralists set up their summer camps every year. Those who wish will be able to go for a horseback ride along the Orkhon Valley, from the encampment to the falls of the Orkhon. Visit the falls of Ulan Tsutgalaan, a white stream flowing over the black stone, which a ray of sunshine transforms into an ephemeral rainbow. These falls of 16 meters are simply magical! They were formed 20,000 years ago as a result of a unique combination of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. During 2 days, you will stay with a family of nomadic farmers of the valley. During your stay, you will discover the lifestyle of the inhabitants, and you will be offered many activities such as milking animals, making traditional dairy products or even gathering, on horseback, herds. You will also attend the preparation of a Mongolian barbecue which you will delight in the company of your hosts.

Yourtes camp Excursion to the monastery of Tovkhon. At the top of the Öndör Ulaan hill, which we can only reach on foot, we discover the hermitage of Tovkhon where Zanabazar, the first religious leader of Mongolia, composed the Soyombo alphabet. From this monastery located at 2,312 meters above sea level, we will have a magnificent panorama over the entire Khangai range. We picnic in an exceptional setting, the valley of the Orkhon at our feet. Tövkhön Monastery - Tsenkher Hot Springs Arrival at the hot springs of Tsenkher, where you can bask in the warm water baths of the camp. 5h Yourtes camp Stop at Tsetserleg, a charming little village lodged in the mountains of larches. Replenishment at local market and visit of Zayan Gegeen Museum. Road to Khorgo - Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur Nature Park, which is located at an altitude of 2060 meters above sea level. This lake, nicknamed "the great white lake", as well as the volcanic region that surrounds it, the emblematic place of the province of Arkhangai. Since its waters are very rich in fish, those who wish will have the opportunity to fish. Day 7 Hiking along the lake shore. We head south-east where the volcano of Khorgo reaches 2240 meters. We climb (easy) the volcano. From its summit, we have a splendid view of the lake and the surrounding hills. Close to the volcano, impressive lava flows form an original landscape that is still different from those traversed until then. 6h Camping tente in steppe We take the road west towards the province of Zavkhan. On the way, we go along the hills of Solongot. Lunch at a local restaurant in Tosontsengel. The atmosphere of the cities of West Mongol inevitably makes one think of that of the lost cities of the American Far West. We set up our camp in a small place of paradise between heaven and earth on the banks of the river Ider.

6h30 Yourtes camp We cross the province of Zavkhan. We admire to the east the high summits of the Khangai and a forest zone, and to the west the desert. Far from the classical tourist trails, the province is home to many natural wonders, such as Mount Otgontenger, dune landscapes and turquoise lakes. We arrive in a semi-desert area as far as Lake Khar, a stretch of water in the middle of the dunes. Day devoted to a star trek in the Khar Lake region. We discover breathtaking landscapes, typical of the Gobi, surrounding a lake with turquoise waters. Hike a few kilometers in the mountains of Erdene Khairkhan, to the site of Senjit Khad, a rock formation resembling an arch in the landscapes of the far west americain. Visit the sources of the Mukhart River. An exceptional site where the river gushes literally from the sand dunes. 5h Camping tente in nature We go along the Khangai Mountains which dominate the track to the east, pass through the hills of Zagastai before arriving in Uliastai, the capital of the province of Zavkhan where we go to the local market to refuel us. We continue our journey about ten kilometers to reach the banks of the bogd river where we set up our camp.
