Guests approach the camp by boat down the Ruak River. Thick stands of bamboo and other native trees envelop the camp, which is spread out along a roughhewn 1 km trail. The tropical jungle atmosphere brings life and colour to the area s notorious history. A luxurious king-size bed takes up one side of the tent, while an oldfashioned, two-person hand-hammered copper bathtub stands in the centre of the room. A sundeck with a day bed and two massage beds, as well as an outdoor rain shower, add to the old-world charm. Each of the 15 tents, named after local hill tribes or fauna and flora, shares a common layout, but is uniquely decorated and furnished in individual colour schemes with coordinated furnishings. Luxury Tents Explorers Lodge A quaint walkway leads to each tent, where elephant-tusk-styled door handles open into a living area measuring 54 square metres (581 square feet). The Deluxe Tents in Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle feature a custom-made wooden hot tub on the outdoor deck, while the Superior Tents measure the same but without the hot tubs on the sundeck. As a small, close-knit community, guests share their dining experiences in locations which may vary from day to day. Breakfast will be served at Nong Yao, the main restaurant, while lunch may be a picnic in the jungle. Afternoon activity may last until it is time for a sundowner. At that time, all activities recess for 30-minutes of snacks and refreshments to watch the sky turn golden. Dinner is an event at the Camp, whether it is a barbecue under the stars or a dinner by campfire at the Elephant Camp. Nong Yao Restaurant An open-air thatched roof pavilion with rustic hardwood floors, Nong Yao Restaurant at Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle offers Thai, Laotian, Burmese and Western cuisine. The restaurant features a bar area, complete with a double-sided fireplace in the middle. You can also relax and enjoy a drink around an open fire pit adjacent to the restaurant.
