The Cream of The Cape Packages Available Spring, Summer and Fall 6 Days/5 Nights Visit Cape Cod where the Atlantic crashes on a coastline strewn with quaint harbors, windswept beaches, glorious dunes and blinking lighthouses. Witness unique Carpenter Cottages and miles of endless beaches on Martha s Vineyard. The weathered cedarshingled buildings, cobblestoned streets and steepled churches of Nantucket beckon you to explore. Come along and discover sandy beaches, seaside colonial towns and sensational cuisine. And, best of all, the seashells are free! Day One: Arrive early afternoon at the Heritage Museums and Gardens in Sandwich, MA, the oldest town on Cape Cod. This is the largest public garden in Southern New England and is located on 100 acres of magnificent gentle hiking trails on the banks of the Shawne Pond. Heritage is especially famous for being the North American Hydrangea Test Garden, the most comprehensive in the US. During your visit witness the abundant Hydrangeas, Hostas, Dahlias and Summer Perennials galore. The Heritage Museum offers three gallery buildings housing permanent exhibits of world-class automobiles, a working vintage carousel and American folk art. Your visit includes a boxed, picnic lunch. Depart the Museum and travel south to your West Yarmouth hotel. This family-owned property is centrally located and offers a charming, casual atmosphere. It also boasts that is has the Cape s largest salt generated indoor pool! After you have settled in and refreshed, relax over a cold beverage at the hotel s Cape Point Cabana Café.

Board the coach and travel just down the road to your dinner destination. Your included dinner is served at one of Cape Cod s favorite restaurants, The Yarmouth House. Day Two: After breakfast in the hotel, meet your local guide and set out for a day to catch the highlights of the Cape. During your tour, you will witness the Nauset Lighthouse, the Marconi Radio Station (the site of the first transatlantic wireless communication between the United States and Europe) and the high cliffs overlooking the Cape Cod National Seashore. Your guide will share tales about the region s rich history as you travel to the tip of Cape Cod and explore Provincetown. Arrive in time to enjoy lunch on your own and to walk along the waterfront and the narrow streets. There will be time to explore the shops and galleries that make Provincetown a haven for artists. Now imagine sand dunes stretching as far as you can see, with wispy beach grass, dark green pine trees and deep red beach plums nestled in hollows that are brought together by a silhouette of blue sky. Climb in for a 1-hour narrated tour aboard a 4-wheel drive vehicle that wheels you through the majestic dunes. You will see "dune shacks" where famous artists and writers like Eugene O'Neill and Harry Kemp became inspired to create their art. You will also pass the remains of the Peaked Hill Life Saving Station and learn how the brave "life savers" enacted their heroic efforts to save the lives of thousands from the doomed shipwrecks! Late afternoon, return to the hotel and say goodbye to your guide. There will be time to refresh or to take a dip in the pool before dinner. Your included dinner is served at a restaurant labeled, a Cape Cod tradition since 1944. The bright, cheery dining room serves in a casual style and is known for its selection of fresh seafood. Day Three:

After breakfast in the hotel, board the coach and travel just a short distance to the ferry dock where you will board the 9:30 am high-speed ferry to Nantucket. Upon arrival at 10:30 am, board two vans and embark on a 1 ½- hour tour of the island. Your driver/guide will talk about the history of the island as you drive past lighthouses, charming homes, cobblestone streets and meeting houses. Following the tour, enjoy lunch on your own. After lunch, visit the Nantucket Whaling Museum, dedicated to the history of whaling. Then, take a walk out to the Brant Point Lighthouse, established in 1746. Visitors may not enter the lighthouse, but may walk on the grounds and take photos of this lighthouse still in operation. There will also be time to visit the craft shops and the multitude of shops, boutiques and galleries. Take a break, sip a refreshing beverage at a sidewalk café, and simply people watch! Board the 4:00 pm ferry and return to the mainland where you will arrive at 5:00 pm. During your passage, each traveler will receive a souvenir, whale pendant key chain. Travel back to the hotel and refresh before dinner. You will dine this evening at one of Cape Cod s premier restaurants. The restaurant consistently provides exceptional food and service in a classic-meets-casual atmosphere. Throughout the restaurant you will find an extensive collection of antiques, much of it with a local connection, complemented by warm woods and oriental rugs. Day Four: After breakfast in the hotel, board the coach and travel to America s Hometown, Plymouth, MA. Plymouth is the oldest municipality in New England and one of the oldest in the United States. This is your day to become a Pilgrim! In keeping with tradition, your first stop is Plymouth Rock. Plymouth Rock is the traditional site of disembarkation of William Bradford and the Mayflower Pilgrims who founded Plymouth Colony. This is the perfect spot for a group photo! Next, visit the National Monument to the Forefathers, dedicated to the 102 Mayflower passengers. This 81-foot monument is considered to be the world s largest solid granite monument and is the fourth tallest statue in the United States. There will be time to debark the coach, walk around the monument and take photos.

Experience the Pilgrim way of life with a visit to Plimoth Plantation, a re-creation of a 17th-century village. Get to know the Pilgrims as they go about their daily chores and explore the permanent exhibits that tell the complex and interwoven stories of two distinct cultures, English and Native. Enjoy lunch on your own at the onsite café. Arrive back in Hyannis late afternoon. Begin with a visit to the JFK Museum, where you will learn about JFK and the Kennedy Family through multi-media exhibits. Then gather for a tour at the St. Francis Xavier Church, known as the Kennedy Church. You may also walk along the Hyannis Harbor the final destination of the Walkway of the Sea. Stroll through the lush green grass of Aselton Memorial Park overlooking the Hyannis Harbor and along the crushed seashell pathway. Peruse the Artist Shanties at Bismore Park and shop for Cape Cod souvenirs and clothing at the waterfront gift shops. Return to to the hotel to refresh before dinner. Savor the flavors of coastal classics, pastas and steaks at this locals favorite establishment. Located just minutes from the beach, the views are seconded only by the great food. After dinner enjoy an evening performance at the Cape Cod Playhouse. (Schedule Pending) (Note: Ticket price is not included. Notch Above Tours will gladly purchase tickets on client s behalf once the schedule has been finalized.) Day Five: After breakfast in the hotel, board the coach and travel to the Hyannis Ferry Dock. Board the 9:00 am high-speed ferry for a 1-hour cruise to Martha s Vineyard. Upon arrival, board two vans and embark on a 4-hour tour of the six island towns. Your drivers/guides, both local islanders, will inform you of the history of the island, its current residents and how it became one of the most sought after destinations on the east coast. During your tour you will stop at the breathtaking Clay cliffs in Aquinnah for a photo op, witness the unique, brightly colored gingerbread cottages of Oak Bluffs and see the oldest known working carousel in the country. You will also see where scenes from the movie Jaws were filmed. Your tour includes a one-hour stop in historic Edgartown where you will enjoy lunch on your own and have time to explore the unique shops galleries. After your guided tour, you will have time to explore the town of Oak Bluffs at your leisure. You may want to stroll around the Martha s Vineyard Camp Meeting

Association, walk around Ocean Park, visit the Cottage Museum and check out the shops and galleries. Walk to the dock and board the 4:00 pm ferry. Cruise back to the mainland where you will arrive at 5:00 pm. Board your motor coach and travel to your hotel to refresh before dinner. Your Farewell Dinner is served at a dining venue that overlooks beautiful Swan River in Dennisport. This landmark for Cape Cod s best seafood has been serving guests since 1954. Dinner features a traditional New England Clam Bake complete with steamah s, chowdah and fresh, steamed lobstah. There s even selections for the landlubbers in your group.
