Excursions COSTA BLANCA CALPE

ALICANTE At the indicated time pick up from your hotel heading to ALICANTE. We will start with a panoramic tour of the city and stop at SANTA BARBARA CASTLE, located on Mount Benacantil, rocky hill with 166 m of altitude. From the castle we will contemplate a magnificent view of ALICANTE BAY and its surroundings. We will continue on foot through the famous PROMENADE PASEO DE LAS PALMERAS, we will visit the CITY HALL (if there are no political activities at the same time). Next we will enter in the OLD TOWN: one of the most charming routes in the city. During the free time we can also visit, among others, the famous MARQ MUSEUM, one of the best archaeological museums in Spain, which invites us to make an exciting journey through the past of Alicante. ALTEA & CALPE At the indicated time pick up from your hotel to head to ALTEA: a village with a very special and unique charm. We will begin our tour from Plaza del Convento to access, through Pont de Moncau, the NEIGHBORHOOD OF VELLAGUARDA. It is a set of steep and narrow streets with viewpoints and small roundabouts. We will arrive at the Plaza (square), cultural and leisure center of Altea, where the Church of the VIRGEN DEL CONSUELO is located. Its tranquility have made Altea the paradise of artists and artisans, whose shops and stalls populate the Casco Viejo (Old Town). Free time. Then we will continue to CALPE, a village full of history through which different cultures have passed: Iberians, Romans, Muslims and Christians and where the ROCK DE IFACH has always played an important role in the history of its population. We will walk through its OLD TOWN to discover some remains of architecture from the 14th and 15th centuries. Calpe also conserves THE ARRABAL: neighborhood of Moorish origin with narrow and steep streets. We will discover the fishing tradition of this population through its PORT AND FISH MARKET (lonja), where the fish auction is done live and in which we can participate (only afternoons). Free time. POTTERY AND WINE CELLAR. NOVELDA & AGOST At the indicated time pick up from your hotel and departure to AGOST: village that maintains many of its customs and traditions. The POTTERIES, which today continue to produce in Agost, and the MUSEUM OF POTTERY are the maximum exponents of the importance that has had and still maintains this craft. All these make up an unique landscape to be seen in Agost. Another good reason is the opportunity to adquire valuable artesanal pieces: we will visit the POTTERY OF EMILI BOIX, where five generations of artisans continue to mold the clay, keeping the fire and the tradition, cultivating sensitivity, seeking originality, returning to the roots. We will then continue to NOVELDA, on whose outskirts we will find CASA CESILIA, established in 1707: an impressive WIEN CELLAR with the best mix of modern and old. We will delve into the wine culture, the elaboration, aging and tasting. All an unforgettable ecotourism experience. DENIA At the indicated time, departure to DENIA, capital of the Marina Alta, a cosmopolitan and modern city that offers all kinds of services. We will begin our visit entering the OLD TOWN, which has a special charm that reflects the millenary history of a living city that now focuses its efforts on attending the multitudinous tourism that comes to visit every year. We will walk through the old town visiting the CAVALLERS STREET, where we will find the ETHNO- LOGICAL MUSEUM - typical example of a bourgeois house, where the evolution of the city during the 19th century is exhibited; LORETO STREET, a pedestrian street where you will find bars and restaurants, shops; the CONVENT AND THE CHURCH OF OUR LADY OF LORETO. Undoubtedly, the most representative and important monument of the city is the CASTLE OF DENIA. We will visit this monumental site, located in the heart of the city, which houses the beginnings of Dianense history and which thousands of people visit every year. Free time. GUADALEST AND POLOP At the indicated time pick up from the hotel and departure to GUADALEST, a mountain town founded by the Arabs in a remote, beautiful and above all strategic place. Along the way we will make a stop to take pictures of the magnificent view of Guadalest and its mountain and also taste authentic local products: honey, fruits and muscatel wine. Once in Guadalest, we will visit the picturesque municipality, with CASTLES that rise between the peaks of the granite mountains, as if they were united by nature. The village receives more than 2 million tourists a year and is full of shops, bars and museums (Museum of Bethlehem, Museum of Miniatures, Ethnographic Museum). Free time. We will continue towards POLOP, a village located on a hill, surrounding its castle. During our walk through the village we will contemplate, among others, its beautiful PLAZA DE LOS CHORROS (Pipes Sqaure) with 221 mountain water pipes that symbolizes all the towns of the province of Alicante. VALENCIA After the pick up from your hotel we will head to the city of VALENCIA. Very few cities are like it, able to combine so harmoniously remnants of remote times, as distant as 138 BC, with the most modern avant-garde buildings, erected in the new millennium. Valencia is equal to commerce, culture, cinema, theater, museums, music and business. It is a place for international and avant-garde design and one of the most attractive cities in Europe when it comes to fairs and conventions. Our first step will be to discover THE NEW VALENCIA where the CITY OF ARTS AND SCIENCES is the largest leisure center designed for the dissemination of science and culture. It is made up of unique buildings, such as the Hemisféric and the Princep Felipe Museum of Science, where a series of events are held (panoramic tour by bus). Afterwards, accompanied by an official guide, we will go to the heart of the city: at Plaza de la Reina (Queens Square), where we will discover the historic center and visit the most important monuments and buildings: THE CATHEDRAL WITH THE TORRE DEL MIGUELETE, THE SILK MARKET declared a World Heritage by UNESCO, and THE CENTRAL MARKET.
