Information - At a Glance The 2 nd Pulp and Paper Industry OHS conference, Workplace Culture Leading the Way is on Wednesday 19 th and Thursday 20 th September, 2007 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 1-5 Spencer Street Melbourne. Cancellations and Substitutions Cancellations received in writing by fax, email or postmarked on or before 5 th September, 2007 will be accepted and registration fees refunded minus a 20% administration fee. After this date no refunds can be given but substitute delegates are welcome with advice of changed details by fax or email. Each delegate must register separately. Keynote Speakers David Parkin is a former AFL premiership player and coach. He captained Hawthorn to their second premiership in 1971 and then coached them to a flag in 1978. He later coached Carlton to back-to-back flags in 81-82 as well as 1995. David will open our conference with his keynote address, sharing his unique insight into leadership and workplace culture within a high performance team environment. Chris Meakin is Executive Director of Lloyd-Jones Meakin. The focus of his presentation is reviewing the stages of the safety culture curve that organisations move through as they improve their safety performance. Chris will highlight the importance of having good safety management systems in place, and share issues that can surface when an organisation becomes too reliant on a high number of detailed work instructions, as the key element of its safety system and safety control mechanisms. Delegates Cocktail Party On Wednesday evening join us from 6.30PM in the Fishbowl at the Melbourne Aquarium for drinks and a catch-up. The Aquarium is one of Melbourne s most popular tourist attractions with the Fishbowl a major highlight. This 2.2 million litre tank is filled with over 70 species including grey nurse sharks, rays, turtles and schooling fish.
