relevant experience BMD Consulting was established in 1987 from the idea of providing value adding and constructible design solutions for government, infrastructure and land development clients. We have successfully designed and delivered significant projects in land use planning, roads and highways, water and sewer, program delivery and value engineering projects throughout Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Northern Territory and South Australia. Building upon our construction, development and infrastructure construction heritage, we deliver design solutions to private, institutional and government land developers. Far North Queensland We provide advice to infrastructure managers throughout the life of all of the assets they are required to manage; from master planning, design and implementation to reviewing existing infrastructure schemes and developing augmentation and maintenance programs. Hopevale & Kowanyama Aboriginal Communities (DIP - IEHIP) Project management, design and construction of water mains and augmentation of water treatment and sewerage treatment plant. Cairns Regional Council We have completed a range of water and sewer augmentation projects, including trunk sewer, bulk water distribution mains and water reservoirs. Kowanyama Subdivision BMD Consulting have been engaged to deliver the design of a further subdivision. Central Queensland With offices in Gladstone, Emerald and Mackay, BMD Consulting is well positioned to service Central Queensland. Examples of our projects include: Julia Creek Industrial(McKinlay Shire Council) 45 lot subdivision. BMD assessed and designed infrastructure requirements, with the optimal solution considering utilisation of the local workforce. Moranbah Residential (ULDA) Infrastructure planning and detailed design for residential development. Moranbah Residential (BMA) BMD Consulting delivered the civil design for this subdivision and unit development in the middle of Moranbah. Goonyella Riverside Mine (BMA) Inspection and certification of facility relocation. Kestrel Mine (Rio Tinto) retaining wall design for magnetite pit. Caval Ridge (Bechtel) )The BMD Consulting team together with BMD Constructions has been delivering the civil and services design for the early works package on the Caval Ridge mine setup in the Bowen Basin. Design elements include Facilities Pads (earthworks, offices, cribs, storage warehouses, fuel facilities) and connecting roads. With design developing across the site on a number of fronts, regular/constant communication has been necessary to stay on top of evolving information. The unique integrated Design and Construction offering of BMD has meant that we are better able to keep the job moving forward, meet challenges and mitigate delays. BMD Consulting provides engineering design and project management services. Projects undertaken by BMD Consulting include: Dampier Peninsula - BMD Consulting has been engaged to undertake the design of the 2012 Army Aboriginal Community Assistance Program (AACAP). The project spans four communities and comprises eight elements, including road and intersection upgrades, stormwater diversions, stormwater management and a subdivisions. Zuccoli (Darwin) BMD Consulting have been engaged to deliver the master planning, lot layouts and engineering master planning for this 500 lot development. Initial planning was completed over a six month period, in parallel with detailed engineering for Zuccoli. Johnston (Darwin) BMD Consulting was engaged to value engineer the latest stages of this development to deliver construction cost savings and more saleable lots. A reduction in rock and more regular earthworks delivered the results. Established in Townsville since 1994 and in Mackay since 2008, BMD Consulting have been part of these regional communities before other larger consultancies were interested in the recent boom. With a diverse client base, BMD Consulting focusses on delivering to clients who value what we can bring to their projects. Projects across Mackay and Townsville include: Kalynda Chase (QLD) Master planning for 1,500 lot community in Townsville ($15 million). Market leading soft road edge treatments and stormwater treatment and conveyance were designed to meet the client s need to respect open space connectivity and activity, whilst maintaining ongoing infrastructure needs. Yarrawonga This high end hillside development required a close Design and Construct approach to achieve successful outcomes. East Point (Mackay) Project development and staging (including feasibility, scenario planning sensitivity analysis and risk) and opportunity development.
