Beyond The White Lines is committed to promoting a growth mindset and developing our campers in all facets of the game between and beyond the white lines. Our mission is to create a positive and fun, yet challenging experience for our campers. We offer athletes the unique opportunity of being mentored by and working closely with current and former college and professional coaches and players. Our goal is to not only develop the physical skills of our campers but also to develop life skills such as work ethic, effective communication, managing emotions and embracing adversity. Campers will receive hands-on training on the mechanics of hitting, slapping, bunting, fielding, throwing, base-running position play and more! Our athletes and coaches will participate in discussions involving current research related to mental performance, the learning process, and effective preparation. We anticipate campers having different levels of skills and abilities, softball goals, and overall camp desires; so we will offer free time in which campers can choose to get additional mentoring with our coaches and instructors or use the time to do non-softball activities if desired. We want this to be a special experience for our campers so anything additional that we can do to make this camp memorable please feel free to let us know. Join us this summer and be part of the BTWL tradition! All parents, family members, coaches etc. are welcome to observe camp at any time. Please introduce yourself to Joni Frei on your way in. All camp coaches and instructors will stay on location with campers and act as chaperones. Please note that we will do our very best to ensure that campers are put on teams with their friends. However, this may mean that campers have a little less time in their primary positions. Example: 4 girls request to be on the same team and all girls are pitchers and also play short-stop. Additionally all girls are above skill in their respective age group so they are assigned to an older team. If there are any issues with team assignments campers are encouraged to bring this to the attention of Camp Director, Joni Frei immediately so we can make the necessary changes. In case of an emergency please add Joni Frei to your cell contacts and text message her the week prior to camp with your daughter s name. 250-575-8705
