Three Acts, Two Dancers, One Radio Host Ira Glass, Monica Bill Barnes, Anna Bass In March, the Wexner Center for the Arts will present a collaboration between This American Life host Ira Glass, heard on 89.7 NPR News and New York-based contemporary dance ensemble Monica Bill Barnes & Company. The result is Three Acts, Two Dancers, One Radio Host, a very funny, lively and heartfelt evening of dance and radio that, says Glass, have no business being together. The show, which has dazzled audiences in Chicago, New York, and elsewhere, will receive its Ohio premiere at the Wexner Center for the Arts. Three Acts, Two Dancers, One Radio Host includes radio interviews restaged as dance pieces, plus stories from the lives of each of the three performers: Ira Glass, Monica Bill Barnes, and Anna Bass. What makes it work is a shared sensibility, Glass says. As dancers, Monica and Anna are these amazingly relatable and funny storytellers without words. Bass notes, I think it s still blowing Ira s mind to see some of the radio pieces remade this way, with props and costume changes and lighting cues. Barnes adds, combining these art forms has led to a show that s unlike anything I ve ever choreographed before. We invite you to consider supporting this exciting joint venture by making an investment for this irreverent and profoundly personal fusion of dance and storytelling. Donors of $2,500 and above will have the opportunity to meet the performers during a private pre-performance reception. Contact Laura Baker, Director of Advancement, at 614-292-3022 for more details! Join the Wexner Center for the Arts and WOSU Public Media for this special one-night event on Saturday, March 11 at 8:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased at wexarts.org or 614-292-3535. 2 For detailed listings, visit wosu.org

89.7 NPR News Spotlights The Transition of Power After a year of pledges to build walls, drain swamps and make America great again, 2017 promises perhaps the most compelling transition of presidential power in our nation s history. 89.7 NPR News began documenting the transition after Donald Trump s surprise victory and will continue to do so through Inauguration Day and the first months of the administration. In addition to special live coverage of the inauguration on January 20th (also broadcast on WOSU TV), 89.7 NPR News will offer in-depth, balanced and critical coverage of the president-elect s policy pronouncements and cabinet nominations. NPR correspondents will dig deep into the backgrounds of Trump s key policy advisors and agency heads. NPR will compare campaign promises to policy implementation and explain what it means to average Americans. NPR will also partner with local producers to tell stories from communities around the country. In a series called Finding America, journalists and citizen hosts will travel to Tulsa, Richmond, Tucson, Knoxville, Philadelphia, and Watertown, New York. We invite you to share your story using the Twitter hashtag, #FindingAmerica. WOSU reporters will explore what the transition of power means for Central Ohioans. We ll look at how Trump administration policies could affect immigrants, health insurance policies, local importers and exporters, and Ohio s coal and natural gas industries. All Sides with Ann Fisher will offer thoughtful discussions weekdays from 10am to noon. Donald Trump promises to bring big change to Washington. His supporters will welcome it; his opponents will fight against it. WOSU and NPR will document it all every day on 89.7 NPR News. 89.7 NPR News schedule 5am 6am 7am 8am 9am 10am 11am 12pm 1pm 2pm 3pm 4pm 5pm 6pm 7pm 8pm 9pm 10pm + Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday Morning Edition BBC NewsHour All Sides with Ann Fisher Fresh Air BBC World Service After the Score Columbus on Marketplace Weekend Weekend Edition Wait Wait Don t Tell Me!
