5 ISLANDS OF MAR MENOR BOAT TRIP After the pick up from the hotel we will go directly to THE PORT OF LA MANGA, where we will take a boat to observe the FIVE MAR MENOR ISLANDS. Accompanied by a guide we will make a classic tour through the calm waters of our beloved and unique Mar Menor, along all its islands: BARON, PERDIGUERA, EL CIERVO, SUJETO AND RONDELLA. We will also travel through the DOS MARES PORt, La CALA DEL PINO (Pine Tree Cove) and throughout 5 km of LA MANGA. During the tour you can admire panoramic views across the entire waterfront coast of Mar Menor. Likewise we will tell you the famous local legend of the Russian Princess (Barón Island). We can also observe the sea bottom of the five islands since the ship has 2 underwater viewing cameras. 2
ALICANTE At the indicated time pick up from your hotel heading to ALICANTE. We will start with a panoramic tour of the city and stop at SANTA BARBARA CASTLE, located on Mount Benacantil, rocky hill with 166 m of altitude. From the castle we will contemplate a magnificent view of ALICANTE BAY and its surroundings. We will continue on foot through the famous PROMENADE PASEO DE LAS PALMERAS, we will visit the CITY HALL (if there are no political activities at the same time). Next we will enter in the OLD TOWN: one of the most charming routes in the city. During the free time we can also visit, among others, the famous MARQ MUSEUM, one of the best archaeological museums in Spain, which invites us to make an exciting journey through the past of Alicante. 3
CARTAGENA We will immerse ourselves in the history visiting CARTAGENA, millenary city. Crossing its streets we will travel through its history, the civilizations that passed through it and left their mark: Carthaginians, Romans and Byzantines were some of the cultures that wrote their history. At the indicated time, departure to Cartagena. First we will visit the surroundings of the PORT where we will go to the new marina and later to CAVITE HEROES MONUMENT. We will continue to the TOWN HALL SQUARE and visit the CONSISTORIAL PALACE (optional). We will walk along the CALLE MAYOR (main street) to the GATES OF MURCIA to see the GRAN HOTEL and other emblematic modernist buildings of the city such as the LLAGOSTERA HOUSE, CERVANTES HOUSE and THE CASINO. On our way to the Roman Theater we will pass through the CHURCH OF SANTA MARÍA. We will arrive at the ROMAN THEATER OF CARTAGENA, built at the end of the 1st century BC and one of the oldest and most spectacular theaters in the Iberian Peninsula. Next to it we will find ruins of the OLD CATHEDRAL, bombed during the Civil War. Finally we will go to THE CHURCH OF CHARITY where the patron saint of the city is and to finish the tour we can climb the PANORAMIC LIFT (optional) to see the beautiful views of the city. Free time. LA MANGA. CABO DE PALOS Pick up from your hotel and departure to CABO DE PALOS. Once we arrive at the fishing village, we will go to the LIGHTHOUSE to enjoy magnificent views of THE MANGA DEL MAR MENOR and THE HORMIGA ISLANDS MARINE RESERVE, whose bottoms harbor a wide range of archaeological sites. In this enclave we admire this impressive lighthouse, which hides a beautiful history. Later we will go down to the port of the town, where we will walk and enjoy the views and the picturesque customs. Then, we will go to the FARO DEL ESTACIÓ, whose facade of recent construction hides a story behind and from here we can admire GROSA ISLAND AND LA MANGA DEL MAR from another point of view. We will cross the Estació Bridge again, and if we are lucky, we will be able to see it raised while a boat crosses the two seas. Finally, we will make a stop at the TOMÁS MAESTRE LEISURE PORT, a great project that was carried out under the supervision of the founder of La Manga. We will return to the hotel for lunch. 5
MURCIA After the pick up from your hotel we will go to MURCIA, typical south town, with elegant buildings and beautiful squares. We will visit the 18TH CENTURY CASINO, a spectacular building where a luxurious and exclusive atmosphere stands out. We will have free time to walk through the typical narrow streets, the numerous pleasant squares full of bars, restaurants and terraces and visit the beautiful CATHEDRAL. Shopping enthusiasts can enjoy a wide selection of shops in Murcia. 6
SAN PEDRO DEL PINATAR Pick up in the morning from your hotel to start the day with a panoramic tour of the villages in the West Bank of Mar Menor: ALCÁZARES and LO PAGÁN. We will continue to LAS SALINAS REGIONAL PARK and THE SANDY AR- EAS OF SAN PEDRO DEL PINATAR. It is a wet, sandy area full of salt ponds, dunes and pine forests. SAN PEDRO DEL PINATAR offers to the visitor the largest outdoor mud therapy area in Europe, one of the most beneficial and healthy therapeutic cosmetic techniques. The mud baths are taken in the area known as LAS CHARCAS DE LO PAGÁN. Free time. 7
