HAMMOCK WOODS SPECAL DEPENDENT TAX DSTRCT PUBLC BUDGET MEETNG June 13, 2016 The PUBLC BUDGET HEARNG meeting of the Hammock Woods Special Dependent District was convened by Vce President, Harold Hill at 7:00 PM at 6008 Hammock Woods Dr., Odessa, FL 33556. n attendance were the following trustees: Harold Hill (Vce President), Richard Jahnke (Treasurer), Karen Woods (Secretary), Tom Howard, Missy Nordbeck and Ron Strauss. Absent was David Woods (President) This comprised a quorum. There were no visitors or residents present other than the board. Vce President, Harold Hill and Treasurer, Richard Jahnke presented the proposed 2017 budget with the assessed rate of $290.00 per residence. Vce President Hill asked for comment. Discussion ensued and the board felt that an assessment of $290.00 would be appropriate to maintain the district. Karen Woods moved to close public comment. The motion was seconded by Missy Nord beck. The motion was approved by a 6-0 vote. Harold Hill moved to. accept the assessment rate of $290.00 and accept the proposed budget. Ron Strauss seconded and t was approved by a vote of 6-0. Being no further business, Vce President Hill entertained a motion to adjourn the meeting. RESOLUTON ADOPTNG FY 17 BUDGET AND APPROVNG SPECAL ASSESSMENT FOR THE YEAR 2016 Upon the motion by Trustee Harold Hill, seconded by Trustee Ron Strauss, the following Resolution was adopted by 6 votes to 0. WHEREAS, HAMMOCK WOODS SPECAL DEPENDENT DSTRCT is a special dependent district duly established and operating pursuant to Ordinance #88 40 as amended; a.nd, WHEREAS, Ordinance #88-40 provided that the Board oftrustees of HAMMOCK WOODS SPECAL DEPENDENT DSTRCT has the right, power and authority to levy a special assessment against RESDENTAL ROPERTY n the district for the purpose of MANTANNG AND MPROVNG PUBLC RiGHTs-. OF-WAY AND COMMON PROPERTY; and, WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of HAMMOCK WOODS SPECA DEPENDENT DiSTRCT has determined that the assessment for the year 2016 shall be in the amount of $290.00; and WHEREAS,the Board oftrustees of HAMMOCK WOODS SPECAL DEPENDENT DSTR.CT has had a duly advertised public hearing on the 13TH day of JUNE, 2016; and, WHEREAS, the Board oftrustees of HAMMOCK WOODS SPECAL DEPENDENT DiSTRCT has presented the proposed assessment and proposed budget to the residents of HAMMOCK WOODS SPECAL DEPENDENT DSTRCT at the public hearing; and, WHEREAS, the Board oftrustees of HAMMOCK WOODS SPECAL DEPENDENT DSTRCT has heard discussion and comments from the residents..
