Single Engine ATTACHMENT ELECTRONIC PILOT'S CHECKLIST REGISTRATION The NAV III Electronic Pilot s Checklist product enhancement provides the Pilot s Checklist to appear on the Multi-Function Display (MFD) unit. The package will include an Electronic Pilot s Checklist SD Card and a one-year sustaining database subscription service. The Electronic Pilot s Checklist will be updated concurrently with the paper Pilot's Checklist revisions. A CD containing the latest Electronic Pilot s Checklist revisions will be sent automatically as part of this database subscription service. Electronic Pilot s Checklist with one-year subscription service will be provided at no initial charge for 2005, 2006, and 2007 model year airplane owners with verification of the airplane's serial number. All complementary subscription registrations must be received no later than October 31, 2007 for 182 and 206 model airplanes and no later than December 26, 2007 for all 172 model airplanes and model year 2007 182 and 206 model airplanes. REASON To announce the availability of an Checklist for the Garmin G1000 Nav III equipped airplanes. After installation, the Checklist will be displayed on the Multi-Function Display (MFD) unit. DESCRIPTION The Checklist is provided on a SD Card and instructions for installation of the checklist shall be performed as described in this Service Bulletin. Like the paper copy of the Pilot's Checklist, the Checklist is provided as a quick reference for convenience purposes only. Use of the Checklist, does not replace the requirement to use the approved Pilot's Operating Handbook (POH)/Airplane Flight Manual (AFM) instructions. The operator must verify and maintain current Checklist files that will be made available with POH/AFM revisions. Should inspection of the Checklist file show that it is not current with the Pilot's Checklist revision, the owner/operator must remove the out-of-date Checklist from the airplane or replace it with the current checklist. To do this, remove the Checklist SD Card that is located in the top Multi-Function Display (MFD) SD Card slot. COMPLIANCE Optional: may be accomplished if desired. APPROVAL FAA approval has been obtained on technical data in this publication that affects airplane type design. MANPOWER Approximately 0.3 man-hour to install the Checklist. Page 2 June 25, 2007

Instructions 1. Prepare the airplane for maintenance. A. Make sure that all switches are in the OFF/NORM position. 2. Make sure that the battery is connected. If desired, connect external electrical power to the airplane. 3. Make sure of approved system software as follows: A. Make sure that all of the necessary circuit breakers are pushed in for normal mode startup of the Garmin G1000 system. B. Put the MASTER BAT switch and the AVIONICS BUS 1/BUS 2 switches to the ON position and let the system power up. C. (Refer to Figure 1.) In the AIRFRAME display box on the AUX-SYSTEM STATUS page on the MFD, make sure that the applicable airplane model and software version system displayed is as shown in Table 1, Table 2, or Table 3 as applicable. If the software version, POH/AFM, and Pilot's Checklist installed on your airplane are not as shown in Table 1 (software version 0394.07 or 0395.08) or Table 2, load the correct software/get the correct revision in accordance with Cessna ServiceBulletinSB06-34-02Revision1orlatestrevision,CessnaServiceBulletinSB06-11-01or latest revision, and Cessna Service Bulletin SB06-11-02 or latest revision. G. (For model year 2007 airplanes only.) If the software version, POH/AFM, and Pilot's Checklist installed on your airplane are not as shown in Table 1 (software version 0563.01 or 0563.03) or Table 3, load the correct software with the Cessna NAV III Installation Software CD located in the protective sleeve from the Pilot's Operating Handbook (POH). 4. Do the enablement of the Garmin G1000 Checklist as follows: A. Disengage the MFD (AVN BUS 2) circuit breaker. B. Put the applicable airplane model and part number Checklist SD Card into the top SD card slot in the MFD. Make sure that you install the correct model SD card. NOTE: The Checklist SD Card stays in the top SD card slot in the MFD. You do not remove it. NOTE: The Checklist SD Card is model and equipment specific. If you install the incorrect model SD card, the Checklist will not operate. C. Engage the MFD (AVN BUS 2) circuit breaker. 5. (Refer to Figure 1.) Make sure that the Checklist is installed correctly as follows: A. If "CHECKLIST" and the applicable part number Checklist shows on the AIRFRAME display box on the AUX-SYSTEM STATUS page of the MFD, the Checklist is installed correctly. Go to Step 6. B. If "CHECKLIST NOT AVAILABLE" shows on the AIRFRAME display box on the AUX-SYSTEM STATUS page of the MFD or does not show at all, you must try to install the Checklist again. Do Steps 4A thru 4C again until "CHECKLIST" and the applicable part number Checklist shows on the AIRFRAME display box on the AUX-SYSTEM STATUS pageofthemfdinwhite. ThengotoStep6. 6. Put the MASTER BAT switch and the AVIONICS BUS 1/BUS 2 switches in the off position. 7. If connected, remove external electrical power from the airplane. 8. Make an entry in the airplane logbook that states compliance and method of compliance with this Service Bulletin. Page 6 June 25, 2007

Dear Cessna Owner: This Owner Advisory is to inform you that SB07-11-01 has been issued to announce the availability of an Checklist for the Garmin G1000 Nav III equipped airplanes. After installation, the checklist will be displayed on the Multi-Function Display (MFD) unit. The Checklist is provided on a SD Card and instructions for installation of the checklist shall be performed as described in SB07-11-01. Like the paper copy of the Pilot's Checklist, the Checklist is provided as a quick reference for convenience purposes only. Use of the Checklist, does not replace the requirement to use the approved Pilot's Operating Handbook (POH)/Airplane Flight Manual (AFM) instructions. The operator must verify and maintain current Checklist files that will be made available with POH/AFM revisions. Should inspection of the Checklist file show that it is not current with the Pilot's Checklist revision, the owner/operator must remove the out-of-date Checklist from the airplane or replace it with the current checklist. To do this, remove the Checklist SD Card that is located in the top Multi-Function Display (MFD) SD Card slot. Compliance is Optional: may be accomplished if desired. Airplanes Year 2005 and 2006: The Checklist will be provided at no charge, if ordered by October 31, 2007. Airplanes Year 2004: The Checklist is available on a one-year subscription basis for a nominal fee. The information contained in the referenced Cessna Service Bulletin shall be considered an amendment to the Cessna Manufacturer's Service/Maintenance Manual. Special Ordering Information and Procedure Owners should order and obtain the Checklist from Cessna Propeller Aircraft Customer Service by using the attached ELECTRONIC PILOT'S CHECKLIST ORDER FORM. Then take the Checklist SD Card to a Cessna Single Engine Service Station for the initial installation. Please contact a Cessna Single Engine Service Station and arrange to have Cessna Service Bulletin SB07-11-01 accomplished on your airplane. B.
