Given the clse prximity and accessibility fr transprtatin, l Essr High Schl is suggested as the venue lcatin. Nvember dates are pending frm l Essr High Schl fr use f the Auditrium fr the Jb Fair. The Members prvide the fllwing suggestins fr the Jb Fair: Ask lcal schls t help prmte the Jb Fair thrugh mrning annuncements and schl scial media Inquire with participating jb sectrs if willing t spnsr an incentive fr participants t encurage attendance Cnsider scheduling the Jb Fair int the early evening t accmmdate parents wh wish t attend Cntinued feedback and suggestins frm the Members is appreciated. The YAC are reminded f their assistance in advertising the event using scial media and as liaisns between the Twn and their respective schls t spread awareness abut the prject. Lcal Gvernment Week The Crprate Services Intern explains the Lcal Gvernment Week cntest ideas fr the elementary and secndary students. The cntest psters are viewed and the Members cmpliment the pster design and cntent. Fr the secndary schl cntests prizes, it is suggested a Best Buy r Devnshire Mall gift card wuld be an appealing incentive fr the Tecumseh Natinal Anthem winner(s) and a Chapters gift card fr the Opinin Editrial winner. A pizza party as a ptential incentive fr participants is als suggested. In additin t the cntests, turs f the Twn Hall Centre are being crdinated with lcal schls during Lcal Gvernment Week. Infrmatin bths at the area high schls are als ffered t prmte Lcal Gvernment Week and t infrm students f the ptential vlunteer and emplyment pprtunities available t them with the Twn. The Cmmittee will assist in prmting the activities n scial media and at their respective schls. (YAC 9-8) NEW BUSINESS 2018 Budget lanning The 2017 Budget is reviewed and discussin ensues respecting planning fr the 2018 Budget and anticipated prject initiatives. The Members cncur with maintaining the Yuth Advisry budget allcatin fr 2018. Call fr Cmmittee Applicatins The Members are reminded applicatins are being received frm residents interested in serving n Cmmittees [Cmmittee f Adjustment, Cultural & Arts Advisry, Heritage, Yuth Advisry, Senir Advisry, Tecumseh Accessibility Advisry (TAAC)]. Nminatins are als being accepted fr the Dr. Henri Breault Cmmunity Excellence Award, the Dnald Dnny Massender Memrial Vlunteer Award and the Ontari Senir f the Year Award. The deadline fr submissin is Octber 31, 2017. The Members are encuraged t share the infrmatin with persns wh may be interested and help prmte n the YAC scial media. 3
