AAAE/ACI-NA AIRPORT NOISE Conference PROGRAM October 11-13, 2017 Savannah, Georgia
WELCOME As your host, we consider it our job to make sure you not only have a great conference, but we want to make sure you have a great time while you are here. Savannah is a great walking city and the conference venue is right in the middle of our fascinating historic district, so if you don t do anything else, get out and go for a walk. Beyond that, we look forward to helping you decide what to do as a visitor from tours, to sightseeing, to dining, and yes, to bars. There are many great options in Savannah - all are within walking distance. CAUTION: Some bars will exceed the 65-dB threshold. At our airport, we are very fortunate not to have any noise problems which is probably why you have not seen us represented at this conference in the past. We are also very fortunate to be home to Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. All Gulfstream Aircraft are manufactured right here at the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. You may be aware that Gulfstream has a very advanced noise reduction R& D program here and their aircraft are some of the quietest aircraft in the world. So, while we can t claim to be the noisiest airport around, we think we are a great place to have a conference. Learn a lot about noise during the conference sessions and then get out and enjoy our city. We are glad to have you. Gregory B. Kelly, A.A.E. Executive Director Savannah Airport Commission
