Recreation & Culture Sewices Report: - Laurie Jones Laurie mentioned a few upcoming events. Canada Day- does OCCNA wish to participate? Peter answered "yes we would like to participate". May 28" North Oshawa Grand Re-Opening, many events will be going from 1-6pm. There will be a skateboard contest, children's activities, and there will be Master Gardeners there to assist people with their spring time gardening. Parks & Facilities Maintenance report:. Executive Report Melanie reported that Steve, Olga, Chuck and herself attended the City Hall meeting yesterday. The user fee for 201 1 has been waived but will be put into place for the 2012 season. They were advised by Councillors to take this issue to the newspapers and other media. Awards & Special events report: Peter wished to thank the awards committee for the great job on the 65". Special thanks to Tracey Lines, Jennifer Hamlyn &d Kathleen Blair for their extra efforts. Thank you to all parks for their donations and door prizes. Jeny thanked everyone on the committee for a great job, it was very well done. Community Centres report: Fire checks are complete. Valleyview will be done tomorrow. Thank you to everyone, it went smoothly. Mackenzie has a leak in the basement, will keep an eye on it. Accessibility meeting will be held @ North Oshawa, May 17" and at Fernhill, May 25". Soccer shed doors will be replaced next week. Drainage issue has been passed on. Kmgside is looking to have repaving done NASC Report - Demck reported that the meeting was cancelled this month due to the City meeting. Next meeting will be held Monday June 6' @ 7:OOpm. Softballs next meeting will be held on May 1 I", Hockey May 17", Soccer May 19*.

Screening Report Randy put a motion on the floor to hand out the P & P's to the parks; seconded by Melanie. Next meeting will be held on May 2$ @ 7:OOpm. Letter for screening has been approved and will be forwarded to all screening chairs, later will be signed by Randy. Taunton Road Police Station is the quickest place to get a CIR done. CIR letter comes from the OCCNA, it is a blanket letter and will cover all bases. Ad Hawk Committee Report- Pat asked if the Secretary for the Central Registration meeting could send the minutes to the OCCNA Secretary. All Ad Hawk meeting minutes must be given to the OCCNA Secretaty so that we have copies of them. Old Business - Pat asked for the name of the Webmaster- Bob Babin is the OCCNA Webmaster. New Business Donna handed out letters from the insurance company with the amount of content insurance for the clubhouses. She asked that parks look them over and let the insurance company know if it is too much or not enough. Must be sent out on park letterhead Announcements: Baker, Mackenzie, Thornton Dundee, and Woodview- park openings will be held on May 28' from loam3pm; Thornton's from 1lam-2pm.
