Day 1: Wed (Sept 16, 2009): After picking you up from the airport, we shall help you check in at your hotel before proceeding to the Welcome Buffet. The more than 100-course dinner will be held around 7.30 p.m. at Mandarin Buffet at 7660 Woodbine Ave (North of John St #905-479-6000). We encourage you to go to bed early to get prepared for the long drive the next day. 2. Day 2: Thurs (Sept 17, 2009): A coach will be at your hotel (Hilton Suites at 7.00 a.m., then Howard Johnson at 7.15 a.m.) to pick you up. Please be punctual, as we have to beat the heavy morning traffic. Remus, Joe and Paul will accompany you all the way. Please see separate program sheet. Again, go to bed early to get ready for the wonderful tour starting the next day. Take note the weather in Quebec is usually colder, especially in autumn during mornings and nights. Ask your hotel concierge to get you a taxi for 6.30 a.m. tomorrow (Sept 18) to bring you to Cineplex. First Markham Place. Although it is just a 5-10 min drive, taxis are not normally available unless booking has been made in advance the night before. 3. Days 3-5: Fri to Sun (Sept 18-20, 2009): The Safeway coach will leave Cineplex, First Markham Place at 6.45 a.m. sharp. Paul will be with you for the whole tour. For details of the program, please see the attached pamphlet. Most of the admission will be paid for, so are some of the meals as well as the tips to the driver and tour guide. However, please pay for your own breakfast and one dinner (probably in Quebec City, where we can have genuine French cuisine at a very reasonable price). 4. Farewell Dinner: Sept 20, 2009. In the evening of Sun Sept 20, your classmates will be waiting for you at Cineplex, First Markham Place around 6.30 p.m. to bring you to La Chine Cuisine at East Beaver Creek for a sumptuous dinner with teachers and friends you may not have seen for forty odd years. The dinner is informal, as we do not want all the long speeches and ceremonies to hold up our friendly chats and exchanges. However, Mrs. Helen Lee has kindly agreed to talk to us briefly about the respected late Fr. Foley, S.J., who was for the greater part of our study in Wah Yan the Principal and has a very special place in our hearts. After the dinner is the free time that you all have been longing for, we can have a drink or two and continue to chat until you are ready to board your plane the next day. For those of you not joining the tours, Eric will be glad to bring you around for a round of golf, a game of tennis or simply Yum Cha. You name it, you have it. For those of you staying behind after the Reunion, we are at your disposal. We can have day trips to nearby scenic spots, cross border shopping (US Visa a must), visit downtown in greater depth, work out at the gym or whatever.
