POLICE BLOTTER FOR SEPT. 1-15, 2017 9/1-9/5 Officer Buda responded to the 1200 block of Morello Avenue for a stolen vehicle report. The 1996 Ford F350 was stolen sometime overnight. Officer Carney responded to a business on Howe Road for a stolen vehicle report. An employee s 1996 Honda Accord was stolen between 6:00 am and 12:00 pm. It was later recovered in El Cerrito. Officer Breinig contacted a male subject in the 1800 block of Estudillo Street. The subject had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and booked into the Main Detention Facility (MDF). Sergeant Busciglio contacted a known male subject at Valley Convenient Mart. The male was arrested for a felony warrant and being in possession of a controlled substance. He was booked into MDF. Officer Ramos responded to the 800 block of Howe Road for a stolen vehicle report. The 2003 Ford Expedition was stolen between 9:30 pm and 8:50 am. Sergeant Gaul conducted a pedestrian stop on a male subject at 7-11 on Pacheco Boulevard. He arrested and cite released the male subject for possession of methamphetamine. Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Main Street for the report of an intoxicated subject who battered the victim at the Farmer s Market. Sergeant Gaul located the subject and Officer Lekse arrested him for battery and violating probation. Sergeant Gaul observed a male subject in the parking lot of the John Muir Inn. The subject threw a pouch over the fence. It contained over 3 ounces of methamphetamine and over 8 grams of heroin. A search of the subject s room revealed additional drugs and evidence. The subject was arrested and released from the PD after being booked. Officer Sanders conducted a traffic stop and contacted the female driver, who was in possession of a controlled substance. She was arrested and cite released at the scene. Officer Mihelich conducted a bicycle stop at Berrellesa Street near Arreba Street. He arrested the male bicycle rider for possession of a controlled substance. He was cite released from the scene.
Officers responded to the 2100 block of Pine Street regarding a male wearing no shirt and walking in and out of traffic. Officer Mihelich contacted the male at Pine Street and Shell Avenue. Officer Mihelich arrested the subject and booked him into MDF for drug intoxication. Officer Breinig responded to the skate park for a male subject exposing himself. Officer Breinig contacted the male subject and arrested him for indecent exposure and for being under the influence of a drug. He was booked into MDF. 9/5-9/6 Officer Winslett responded to Dickson Lane regarding a burglary to the house that occurred over the weekend. Officers responded to the 500 block of Eagle Nest Drive for the report of a wanted subject who was standing in front of a residence. The male subject was contacted and arrested for the warrant. 9/6-9/7 Officers responded to Eagle Marine for the report of a stolen vehicle. The reporting party was not the registered owner. The registered owner was contacted and verified no one should have his vehicle. The vehicle was located a short distance away near the Sea Scouts building. A witness observed the male subject who had driven the vehicle to that location. The subject was still in the area. The witness pointed the subject out and he was arrested and booked into MDF. Commander Ghisletta took an identity theft case for a victim whose information was used in Georgia. Officer Vasquez made a traffic stop at Pacheco Boulevard and Center Avenue. He contacted the male driver, who was driving under the influence of a drug and in possession of a controlled substance. The subject was arrested and booked into MDF. Corporal Mayberry made contact with the male driver of a suspicious car parked at Eastwoodbury Park. The driver had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and released at the scene.
9/7-9/8 A male victim came to MPD to report that he had been assaulted with a boat oar. The victim was not injured and a report was taken for 245(a)(1) PC Assault w/ A Deadly Weapon. The suspect was identified via photo line-up. This investigation is ongoing. Officer Mihelich conducted a pedestrian stop at Tower Mart. He contacted a male who was on searchable probation. During the search, Officer Mihelich located two large concealed knives under the male s shirt. He was arrested and cite released from the PD for 21310PC Carrying a Concealed Dirk/Dagger, 11364HS Possession of User Paraphernalia, and 1203.2PC Probation Violation. A subject driving erratically was followed from the freeway and then onto Alhambra Avenue. Officer Vasquez conducted an enforcement stop near Walgreens. The female driver was contacted and determined to be driving while intoxicated. She was arrested and cite released from the PD. Officer Ramos responded to a hit and run accident in the 3100 block of Pine Street. The suspect vehicle struck two parked cars and fled northbound on Pine Street. The driver of the suspect vehicle eventually called the PD and stated that she fled the area because she was scared. 9/8-9/11 Officer Carney responded to Deerwood Court for an auto burglary. The burglary occurred between 5:00 pm on 9/8 to 6:30 am on 9/9. The loss was a laptop. Officers were dispatched to the parking lot of Golden Hills Park for a suspicious vehicle. One of the subjects contacted was arrested for two felony warrants. One warrant was for a no bail for ID theft and possession of stolen property and the other warrant was for a no bail for violating probation. He was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was booked into MDF by Officer Buda. MPD units were dispatched to Susana Street and Estudillo Street for an accident involving a drunk driver. The victim stated that the suspect vehicle was fleeing north toward downtown. The victim followed the suspect to the 700 block of Ferry Street where MPD units made contact with the suspect. He was arrested for driving under the influence and fleeing the scene of an accident. He was booked into MDF. Officer Sanders made a traffic stop on the eastbound Hwy 4 on ramp from Alhambra Avenue. Officer Sanders contacted a male subject and determined that he was driving under the influence. The subject was arrested and released at the PD. Sergeant Gaul observed a subject riding his bicycle on Marina Vista at Shell Avenue. A probation search revealed methamphetamine and a meth pipe. The
subject was cite released. Officer Mihelich contacted several subjects at 7-11 on Pacheco Boulevard. One of the subjects was on probation and a search revealed methamphetamine and a pipe. The subject was cite released. Officer Ramos was dispatched to Buon Aroma for a female taking off her clothes and acting strange. Officer Ramos arrived on scene and determined the female was too intoxicated to care for herself. Officer Ramos arrest her for PC 647(f) (Public Intoxication). She was booked into MDF. Officer Montano contacted a male in the parking lot of 7-11 on Morello Avenue. The subject was walking though the parking lot with a lamp and an adjustable tailgate. Officer Montano conducted a parole search and located suspected methamphetamine and a smoking device. Dispatch noticed a possible parole issue. Dispatch contacted parole and determined the male had a Parolee At Large (PAL) warrant. The subject was cited for the drug offenses and booked into MDF for the PAL warrant. Officer Lekse conducted a suspicious vehicle investigation in the 100 block of Fig Tree Lane. He contacted a male subject from Vallejo and a female from Pleasant Hill. The male was arrested for misappropriation of found property. The female was arrested for possessing burglary tools. They were cite released from the PD. Officers were dispatched to Safeway in the 3300 block of Alhambra Avenue for a trespasser. Officer Russell contacted a male subject from Bay Point. He was arrested for the MMC violation. Officers responded to the train crossing at Ferry Street for a train versus pedestrian. A 53-year-old female was located and determined to be deceased. Members of the traffic team responded and investigated the collision. Officer Estanol and Officer Vasquez are investigating the case. 9/11-9/12 Officer Mihelich contacted a female during a traffic stop. She had two misdemeanor warrants and was booked into MDF. Officer Lekse contacted a male subject. He had two misdemeanor warrants and was in possession of methamphetamine. He was cited and released. Officer Voyvodich responded to a report of a stolen vehicle parked at Raap Avenue and Euclid Avenue. The vehicle was recovered and released to the registered owner. Officer Mihelich contacted a male subject during a pedestrian stop. He was in possession of methamphetamine. He was arrested and cite release.
9/12-9/13 Corporal Poertner and Officer Winslett responded to the 2500 block of Arnold Drive for a male subject sleeping in his vehicle. The male was on active probation. During a probation search Corporal Poertner located 24 grams of cocaine, four vials of testosterone and other drug paraphernal. The male was booked into MDF. Officer Voyvodich recovered a stolen vehicle in the area of Ricks Avenue and H Street. The vehicle, a 1988 Toyota Camry, was reported stolen to Concord Police Department on 09/09/2017. Officer Byrne responded to a residence in the 2000 block of Spring Lake Drive for a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle, a 2013 Infiniti, was left running in the driveway. The vehicle was later recovered by the Pittsburg Police Department. Officer Lekse contacted a male subject during a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Bush Street. The subject had a felony warrant for his arrest and was in possession of 3.5 grams of methamphetamine. He was booked into MDF. Officer Voyvodich contacted a male subject during a traffic stop in the 3500 block of Pacheco Boulevard. The subject was on federal probation and in possession of 1.7 grams of heroin. He was arrested and cite released from MPD. Officer Lekse and Officer Byrne contacted a male and female subject at Howe Road and Old Orchard Drive. Both subjects had warrants for their arrest. They were booked into MDF. Officer Breinig responded to the 2900 block of Estudillo Street for a violation of a court order. He arrested a male subject for the violation and booked him into MDF. Officer Mayberry contacted a suspicious male in front of MPD. The male had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and was booked into MDF. 9/13-9/14 Officers responded to the 3200 block of Ricks Avenue for the report of a fight. An intoxicated adult male left his residence and attacked a juvenile male who was on the corner. Officer Byrne arrested the suspect and booked him into MDF. Officer Breinig responded to Main Street and Talbart Street for a hit and run accident. MPD units were unable to locate the suspect vehicle. A short time later, the female suspect called the MPD and admitted that she was the suspect in the collision. Officer Breinig contacted the female driver at her residence and
9/14-9/15 arrested her for driving under the influence. Officer Byrne and Officer Buda responded to the 1900 block of Elderwood Drive for a report of two subjects sitting in a truck. Officers arrived and contacted a male and female. The male had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest and the female, who was on active misdemeanor probation, was in possession of a hypodermic needle containing heroin. The male was arrested and booked into MDF. The female was cited and released at the scene for 11350(a) H&S - Possession of a Controlled Substance. Commander Roth recognized a male subject in the area of Shell Avenue and Pacheco Boulevard. The subject had a felony warrant for his arrest. Commander Roth contacted the subject on Bridgehead Way. Officer Byrne arrived to assist and arrested the subject for the warrant. The subject was also in possession of 41.6 grams of methamphetamine, 8.2 grams of heroin and over $500.00 in cash. He was booked into MDF. Officers responded to the parking lot of Amtrak for a fire. The fire was contained to the dumpster area and no structures were in endangered. Consolidated Fire arrived and put the fire out. Officers detained a male subject near the fire. He was in possession of a methamphetamine smoking pipe, questioned and released from the scene. Officer Mihelich investigated a burglary of a residence in the 200 block of Buckley Street. A subject known to the victim arrived at her home around 3:30 am and forced open the locked door. A verbal argument ensued then the subject left after taking the victim s IPAD (which last pinged in Vallejo).
