POLICE BLOTTER FOR MAY 1-15, 2018 On May 1 st at 7:00 am, Police Assistant Tolliver located an unoccupied stolen vehicle in the 600 block of J Street. Case# 18-1003. At 9:30 am Officer Voyvodich recovered a stolen vehicle in the 300 block of Via Cordova Lane. Case# 18-1005. At 2:00 pm Officer Voyvodich responded to a residence in the 2400 block of Yale Street for a deceased female of apparent natural causes. Case# 18-1008. At 4:10 pm Officer Parsons took a report of a vehicle stolen from the 300 block of Mill Road. Case# 18-1010. At 4:30 pm Sergeant Gaul arrested a man in the area of Waterfront Road and Waterbird Way for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Case# 18-1011. On May 2 nd at 3:30 pm, Officer Brinser arrested a man at Valley Convenient Mart for public intoxication and violating probation. Case# 18-1021. At 4:00 pm Sergeant Gaul stopped a vehicle on Arthur Road at Pacheco Boulevard. He arrested a man for displaying fraudulent registration and driving with a suspended license. Case# 18-1024. On May 3 rd at 1:30 am, Officer Brinser responded to a collision that was heard only at Alhambra Avenue and D Street. He discovered a traffic signal pole had been struck and the responsible vehicle fled the scene. Case# 18-1025. At 9:30 am Officer Carney responded to a residence in the 2300 block of Harbor View Drive where the shed was pried open and exercise equipment was stolen. Case# 18-1028. At 3:00 pm Officer Carney responded to the 700 block of Main Street where a juvenile was struck by a vehicle after he ran out between parked cars. He was transported to the hospital. Case# 18-1031. At 6:45 pm officers responded to a disturbance at Amtrak. A man was confronted after he followed a woman into the women s restroom. There was no interaction between the man and the woman. The man did not realize he had entered the women s restroom. Incident # 1806030056. On May 4 th at 8:26 am, Officer Voyvodich responded to a strong arm robbery. The 50- year-old female victim was entering the post office at 815 Court Street when she was approached by a man. The victim and the suspect struggled over the victim s purse. The suspect then grabbed the victim s wallet and a necklace which was around her neck. He then fled the area on foot. The victim described the suspect as a white man about 6' tall, heavy set, scruffy beard, dark gray hooded sweatshirt (hood up), blue jeans with very big hands. The investigation is ongoing. Case# 18-1037 was taken by Officer Voyvodich.

At 9:16 am Detective Miller responded to the 1600 block of Pine Street for the report of a stolen vehicle. The car, a black 2016, Honda Civic, Lic: 7WOC487) was taken from in front of the victim s residence while the engine was running. The vehicle keys were taken with the vehicle. Case# 18-1039. At 1:46 pm MPD officers responded to 902 Main Street (Wells Fargo) for a man trying to cash fraudulent checks. Detective Miller arrived and contacted the 26-year-old man from Hercules. The man was in possession of over 30 fraudulent checks. Detective Miller arrested him for 475a PC (Possess Fraudulent Bank Note) and booked him into the Martinez Detention Facility (MDF). Case# 18-1040. At 4:45 pm MPD officers responded to 735 Escobar Street (Marina Market) for a report of a theft in progress. The store clerk and Sergeant Salamid detained the suspect, a 48- year-old man from Richmond, in the parking lot. The man had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. He was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility (MDF). Case# 18-1042 was taken by Officer Voyvodich. On May 5 th at 3:16 am, officers responded to Alhambra Avenue at Arreba Street for a hit and run investigation. Upon arrival, officers found a teal Mustang into a red Saturn. There was no one in the area and the reporting party last saw a person running west on Arreba Street. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and the Mustang s air bags deployed. Both vehicles were registered to people in other cities and they were not located. The area was searched for a suspect and they were not located. The Mustang was towed from the scene. Investigation continuing. Case# 18-1048. At 8:36 am MPD officers responded to the area of Linden Lane and Alhambra Avenue for a report of an attempted kidnapping. The 10-year-old female victim stated an Asian or Filipino man with a long beard pulled up to her and told her to get in his car. He then punched her in the arm and fled the area in his vehicle. The vehicle was described as a black SUV. An area check was conducted but no suspects were located. A county wide BOLO was placed for the unknown suspect and vehicle. Case# 18-1049 was taken by Detective Williamson. On May 6 th at 1:00 pm, officers were dispatched to Rankin Park for a subject possibly under the influence of a drug. Officers contacted a 25-year-old female from Martinez. She was arrested for a $20,000 misdemeanor warrant for battery of a Police Commander, and she was booked into MDF by Detective Williamson. At 7:00 pm Officer Montano investigated a theft which occurred yesterday from a vehicle in the 1600 block of Court Street. During her investigation she contacted a 48-year-old woman from Martinez. The woman was arrested for a $25,000.00 misdemeanor warrant for traffic and a $15,000.00 misdemeanor warrant for traffic. She was booked into MDF. Case# 18-1052. At 9:30 pm Officer Montano stopped a vehicle in the 3500 block of Pacheco Boulevard. She contacted a man and arrested him for driving a vehicle with a suspended license for DUI. He was cite released from the scene. Case# 18-1053. On May 7 th at midnight Officer Montano contacted several subjects in front of Marina Market. One of them was arrested for a $25,000.00 misdemeanor warrant for accessory

to a crime. He was booked into MDF. Case# 18-1054. At 8:12 am Officer Angoco took a stolen vehicle report from a resident in the 2400 block of Willow Tree Lane. Case# 18-1055. At 10:10 am Officer Lincoln conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Howe Road. The driver was arrested for driving on a suspended license. Case# 18-1056. At 11:18 am Officer Lincoln responded to the lobby for a report of a hit and run that occurred a few hours prior. A juvenile was walking in the cross walk in the 1600 block of Court Street when a white car being driven by an adult female struck him. The juvenile did not experience pain so he delayed reporting the incident. Case# 18-1058. On May 8 th at 7:45 am, Officer Angoco recovered a stolen U-Haul trailer in the 3000 block of Brookside Drive. Case# 18-1067. On May 9 th at 2:30 pm, Officer Angoco responded to 2500 Alhambra Avenue for a 3 vehicle collision. No parties were injured. Case# 18-1073. On May 10 th at 3:57 am, Corporal Schnabel took a missing person report from a resident in the 500 block of Vine Hill Way. Case# 18-1074. On 8:56 am Detective Williamson responded to Vintage Market with other officers for an assault with a deadly weapon. A woman attempted to steal alcohol, and when confronted by the store clerk the woman attacked the clerk with a pair of scissors and bit him on the arm. Officers arrived and the woman remained combative. A Taser was deployed to assist in disarming the woman and a restraint device was used to safely secure her as she spit on/at officers. The woman was arrested for Robbery, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Assault on a Police Officer, and Resisting Arrest. Case# 18-1077. On May 11 th at 6:00 am, Officer Wah was driving to work and noticed a suspicious vehicle parked next to Abel Chevrolet, 3925 Alhambra Avenue. He believed he interrupted a burglary and detained three people. It was determined they were dumpster diving. One of them was identified as a 33-year-old man from Concord. The man was arrested for possession of heroin. He was cite released by Officer Parsons. Case# 18-1080. At 7:45 am Officer Winslett responded to the 2400 block of Heatherleaf Lane for a stolen vehicle report. A 2007 Acura RDX was stolen sometime during the night. The vehicle is equipped with LoJack, and the CHP helicopter located the vehicle in Benicia. Benicia PD arrived on scene, but the vehicle was unoccupied. Case# 18-1081. At 12:20 pm Officer Parsons conducted a suspicious vehicle investigation in the Walmart parking lot. One of the occupants was a 20-year-old from Concord. She was arrested for possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and drug intoxication. She was booked into MDF. Case# 18-1083. At 2:00 pm officers were dispatched to Shell States FCU, 1700 Alhambra Avenue, for a suspicious person inside. The man was contacted and arrested for a felony no bail warrant for vandalism. He was booked into MDF by Detective Miller. Case# 18-1084. At 11:36 pm Corporal Mayberry contacted a subject at the 7 Flags Car Wash on Alhambra

Avenue. The man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and for paraphernalia. He was cite released. Case# 18-1086. On May 12 th at 3:46 am, Officer Breinig responded to Dineen Street. The victim was woken up by his car alarm and when it was checked, the driver s door window had been smashed by an unknown means. The area was searched and no suspect or other damage was located. Case# 18-1087. At 11:30 am officers responded to the area of Alhambra Avenue and Soto Street for the report of a head on traffic collision. The driver was traveling the wrong way southbound on Alhambra Avenue. The 24-year-old Pittsburg man was arrested for DUI and driving with a suspended license for DUI. He was booked into MDF. The roadway was closed down for an hour so the vehicles could be towed from the scene. Officer Lincoln took the report. Case# 18-1088. At 11:19 pm Corporal Mayberry located a 27-year-old Concord man in the Marina near the Bocce Ball courts. The man was arrested and booked into MDF for an outstanding arrest warrant. Case# 18-1092. At 11:22 pm officers responded to Douglas Drive at Vista Oaks Drive for a report of a possible drunk driver that a citizen was following. Corporal Mayberry stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver for driving under the influence (alcohol). He was booked and then released from the station. Case# 18-1090. On May 13 th at 10:03 am, Officer Lincoln responded to the 1000 block of Walnut Street. A 2002 Toyota Sequoia was stolen between 11:30 pm and 9:00 am. The victim left the keys in the vehicle. Case# 18-1093. Officer Parsons responded to the 1700 block of Alhambra Avenue. A 2006 Ford F250 was stolen at approximately 5:30 am, and the victim s son heard the vehicle start up and drive away. Case# 18-1094. At 12:34 pm Officer Lincoln stopped a vehicle in the 3200 block of Pacheco Boulevard. The driver was arrested for driving a vehicle with a suspended license for DUI. He was cite released. Case# 18-1095. At 7:40 pm Officer Montano made a traffic stop at 800 Howe Road. She contacted a man who had a felony warrant for his arrest. He was arrested per the warrant and booked into MDF. Case# 10-1098. At 9:38 pm a resident in the 1900 block of Castro Street arrived home and saw a man flee from the inside of her residence. The suspect fled in a green sedan WB Brown Street. The front door had been left unlocked and a laptop was missing from the residence. Case# 18-1099. On May 14 th at 12:51 am, Sergeant Busciglio contacted a man in the 1200 block of Morello Avenue. The man had an outstanding warrant. He was arrested and booked into MDF. Case# 18-1101. At 9:30 am Officer Angoco responded to the 3400 block of Alhambra Avenue for a collision involving a city vehicle. Case# 18-1112.

At 12:45 pm Officer Angoco responded to the county jail lobby for a man who stated he was struck on the back with a broom earlier in the day while in the 3900 block of Pacheco Boulevard. Case# 18-1117. On May 15 th at 4:47 pm, officers responded to an injury accident on Alhambra Avenue and Forest Way. Case# 18-1118. On May 15 th at 6:56 pm, Officer Montano responded to Royal Thai at 414 Ferry Street for a man who ate dinner and then said he didn t have any money. The man was arrested and booked into MDF. At 10:51 pm Sergeant Busciglio made a traffic stop at D Street and Castro Street. He arrested the driver for a warrant. Case# 18-1120.
