Try and get some sleep before your morning arrival in Barcelona. A light meal and breakfast will be served on board the flight. Friday, September 20 th Day 2 Arrive in Rome Arrive at Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino Airport and gather our luggage. Transfer by private coach to our hotel located in the city centre. Your Tour Director will have planned sightseeing for the remainder of the day if you wish to tag along with them. Otherwise you are free to explore Rome on your own this afternoon. This evening join your fellow travellers for an included dinner at a local restaurant. The remainder of the evening is at your leisure. Overnight: Hotel Universo or similar 4-star hotel (D) Italy & Greek Isles Cruise 1

Saturday, September 21 st Day 3 Rome Touring Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet with your Tour Director. This morning we will embark on a walking tour of the historical centre of Rome. We start this enchanting walk from the Quirinal, the highest of Rome's 7 hills and the one where ancient Romans and later the Popes built their residences. We reach the Trevi Fountain, the most majestic of the Roman fountains. We will also see the Spanish Steps. This square is named after the Palace, the seat of the first European Embassy established in the city permanently, and the famous flight of steps. Walk around the most elegant shopping streets in Rome and reach Piazza Navona, the most Baroque of the Roman squares. We continue to the Pantheon, dating back to the II century a.d.. Our last stop will be in Piazza Campo de' Fiori, the popular centre of the city and Piazza Farnese with its twin fountains made of two marble basins from Caracalla Baths. This afternoon we will have a tour of Ancient Rome. Step back into antiquity during a 3-hours stroll through the archaeological sites. Visit the Roman Forum, the forum of Caesar Augustus and Trajan, the Capitol, Colosseum and Palatine Hill. Let the magic of ancient Rome archaeological marvels cast its spell. Marc Antony on the rostra, the stones of Caesar's cremation site, assembled senators in the Curia, vestal virgins meditating in the romantic surroundings of their home and the eternal fire burning in Vesta's temple. Also see Rome s most cherished shrine, Cicero's flaming oratory in the Rome's basilicas and the wild atmosphere of gladiator games in the Colosseum, will all seem to materialize. Easy to let imagination carry you through an exciting archaeological journey to history. This evening we will enjoy an included dinner at a local restaurant and afterwards you are free to explore Rome on your own or relax back at the hotel. Overnight: Hotel Universo or similar 4-star (B, D) Italy & Greek Isles Cruise 2
