SOUTHERN SPAIN Seville is the capital of Andalusia with streets and squares in the historic quarter which are lively and busy. They treasure many constructions that have the World Heritage designation, and many districts are full of traditional cultures, like Flameco and La Macarena. Cádiz is considered to be the oldest continuously inhabited town in Europe, founded a in about 1100 B.C. It s home to the beautiful yellow-domed Catedral de Cádiz an impressive baroque structure which dazzles at sunset Cordoba is a city with an impressive cultural and monumental patrimony. UNESCO recognised the universal importance of Cordoba s historic legacy, and extended the title of World Heritage Site not only to the Mosque Cathedral but also to all the streets and buildings around it. Ronda is one of the oldest cities of Spain. Its origin, according to archaelogical findings in the old city space belongs to the Neolithic age. Despite of this, the presence of the human being in this land can be explained at a previous time. A proof of this are the sites found at caves, being the most important the one found at the Pileta s Cave, which is one of the best cave s paintings examples of all the Paleolithic age in Andalusia. It was founded in 1100 B.C. This is an open, cosmopolitan city with its port chosen by Columbus as the point of departure for his second voyage to the New world. Here you will visit the El Pópulo district, the oldest area in the city with the three original Medieval gates to the City. Day 4 This morning you will meet your Local Guide for a full day Tour to Cordoba. Until its fall to the conquering Christian armies in 1236, Cordoba was a city of half million people. It had thousands of Mosques, massive libraries, palaces and baths; and was renowned for its opulence and luxury goods that were coveted all over Europe. The highlight of the Tour is the Mezquita or Grand Mosque dating back to 785, this massive structure contains a Catholic Cathedral that is one of the world s best-known pieces of religious architecture. A vast forest of hundreds of delicate marble columns and elegant arches, the Mezquita is breathtaking! Return to your Hotel Day 5 Today is a free day to relax or explore Seville at your leisure Day 6 This morning you will meet your Local Driver for a transfer to Malaga stopping in Ronda, one of the best kept secrets of Andalucia. Here you will meet your Local Guide who will take you on a walking tour to see the Puente Nuevo, the icon of the City, a bridge that connects 2 sides of the City. We will visit the famous Bodegas la Sangre de Ronda a wine interpretation centre and learn about the history of the wine in this region and enjoy wine tasting and lunch with local gastronomy. Day 7 This morning you will meet your Local Guide for a half day visit to the center of this beautiful coast line City. Malaga is a great Southern City of Spain, with a lovey beach and it s one of the most important tourist destinations in Spain. Here the famous Spanish painter Pablo Picasso was born. Visit the Alcazaba, the Pablo Picasso Museum and the Roman Theater.
